THE PREQUEL

It was the summer of 2017, a hot Memorial Day weekend and Leah was on a road trip to St. Louis, MO with two of her good friends. At the time, her friend Taylor was going to school down there and wanted to show Leah and their other friend around St. Louis. It was on this trip that Leah decided to download Tinder (an online dating app) for the first time...

THE MATCH

At this time, both Leah and Josh just graduated high school and neither of them were thinking they were gonna find their future husband/wife. They matched and Leah made the first move (obviously) and hit it off immediately. In fact, at one point, one of Josh's messages didn't go through and Leah had thought he was done with the conversation (rude). But the next day, Josh messaged Leah and explained what had happened. We haven't stopped talking since then. Fun fact: By the time we are married, our snapchat streak will be at 2,877 consecutive days; and yes, we plan on keeping it.

THE MEET

Over the next two months, with lots of texting, snapchatting, and facetiming, they were finally able to plan a time for Leah to go back down to St. Louis and meet each other in person! Leah's friend Taylor was there when they met in person because honestly, they weren't sure if Josh was going to kidnap them or not (thankfully he didn't). However little beknown to us, before meeting Leah, Josh was getting his 2017 Volkswagen GTI detailed and ready to go pick Leah up to impress her, as if I was going to notice? LOL Our first date was obviously Culvers.

THE NEXT 7 YEARS..

We did long distance on and off throughout our 7 years together and eventually Josh moved up to Wisconsin. Thankfully he loves beer and cheese (Leah is still working on the Green Bay Packer fan part). Thanks to our parents who grew up in the 80's for being so cool about letting their 18 year old's date each other from different states. We weren't sure we would have made it work without all the love and support from our families and friends. We look forward to celebrating 7 years of so much love and happiness on our big day with everyone we know and love there with us.
