Deer Valley: this is skier only mountain with a good variety of terrain but mostly serves intermediate skiers. It is suitable for beginners.
Park City: this is a large mountain that allows both skiing and snowboarding. There is a variety of terrain including large beginner areas and expert off site options.
Canyons: we have not skied here but it allows skiing and snowboarding. It is part of the Park City resort so the same lift ticket can be used.
Alta: Our favorite but about 45-60 minutes from park city depending on weather and traffic.
We recommend using the app: Alltrails for directions and trail maps. The hikes listed below are popular so the concierge should be able to help direct you if you do not wish to download the app:

Woodward Park City
Great share plates and an open kitchen, Their SLC location is our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake so far…
This is a bar, no children will be permitted. Average pub food, great people watching and apres fun.
Good Austrailain breakfast/lunch food
Call ahead if dining with children to ensure they allow them to enter. Utah has strict and unusual alcohol laws that prohibit children from entering bars even if they are restaurants. Also, to all the New Yorkers: avoid pizza and bagels in Utah, you will be disappointed.
