Our love story started back in June of 2021, when we went on our first date in downtown Melbourne, at Hell n’ Blazes Brewery. We both felt an instant connection and spent the night playing darts and shuffleboard at the brewery and walking around downtown. Two days later we went on our second date to the beach, and it was clear that we would be together for the foreseeable future.


We had the ease of living 4 minutes from each other, just around the corner. Over the next year we enjoyed so many great memories together. From traveling to Denver in October 2021 to meet Everett’s family and friends, to traveling to New Jersey in June of 2022 to meet Leah’s family and friends. Within that time we adopted a second cat, Ozzy, and our little family began to grow.


Our relationship was put to the test in August of 2022, when Everett decided to pursue his dreams of re-enlisting in the Air Force. He then moved to San Antonio, Texas while Leah stayed behind in Melbourne.


While the future was uncertain, we were committed to making our relationship work, no matter what. With many changes to Everett’s path while back in the Air Force we continued to stay resilient and trust that whatever was meant to be would happen. We always believed that everything would work out for the best.


In December on 2023, Everett totally surprised Leah and proposed to her while on a hike in Colorado, during a Christmas vacation trip. She said yes so quickly that his knee was barely on the ground. They spent the rest of that trip celebrating with family and friends.


After 1.5 years on long distance we received the news that Everett would be assigned Charleston, SC for his EOD base. With that news, we knew that our plans to move and start our life together could continue, after both being very patient through the long distance.


We are so excited for the journey ahead, and cannot wait to celebrate our love with you all in May of 2025!
