Who would have thought that two spring breakers in Daytona, Florida would meet for the first time and 4 years later, we would be getting married?! On to the engagement, we were at Put In Bay, our favorite go to spot, and Nevan suggested to go watch the sunset. I thought it was a little strange as Nevan, Nicollete, Derek, and I drove away in a golf cart, while leaving all of our friends behind. I thought, "This wasn't the first time Nevan decided to do something impromptu without planning". As we arrived to our sunset spot, the sky was beautiful and our two friends suggested Nevan and I get a picture. I was in complete shock as Nevan got down on one knee. (We had a conversation the night before regarding when we would get engaged; he told me two more years.) I didn't answer yes until he asked me a second time if I would marry him. I was still wrapping my head around the beautiful moment. Of course, I said yes to the person who brings out the best in me! We turn around to see our friends (the ones we left behind) running out of the woods to come celebrate with us! I was extremely happy when Nevan told me that our families would be joining us at Put In Bay the next day. We had a fun and unforgettable weekend celebrating with family and friends. We cant wait to do it again at our wedding!
