COVID-19 Wedding Update

Picture of COVID-19 Wedding Update

If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms or have been around anyone with a positive COVID test result within 14 days prior to the wedding, we ask that you please celebrate from home. We also completely understand if you change your mind the day of the wedding and would feel safer celebrating from home. All guests are required to wear a mask inside therefore we ask that you bring one if attending. We ask that you please respect the space of others and try your best to social distance. Our ceremony will be outdoors with chairs spaced further apart and we will have seating options outdoors and a bar outdoors for our reception if you feel more comfortable being outside. Feel free to sit or stand anywhere throughout the day that you feel most comfortable .

Thanks, Leah and Colin

Where It Began

Colin and I started our awesome life 7 years ago. At the time I was playing college soccer with Shannon Carlson whom he went to High school with. Colin was in school at UMD and I was at St. Scholastica so it was unique that our paths crossed therefore I give Shannon all the credit. After a few dates, I knew Colin was the one. We graduated in 2014 but did long distance during the summer. Colin continued to take me on adventures to State Parks and we hiked our way through Colorado and Arizona. We moved in together in 2015 which is also when our running sparked. We finished a few half marathons together and then eventually our first full marathon in 2018. Our joy for being outdoors and taking everything we had around us in Uptown eventually led us to wanting to purchase a house. June 2018 we bought a beautiful home in Burnsville together and the rest is history. Oh wait, everyone wants to hear about the proposal... 😊 Colin completely surprised me one fall morning with my family at 14,000 ft. We finished climbing Grays Peak in Colorado at 10:17 to which my mind was completely focused on my father not passing out. When we went to go take a group picture (which I thought nothing of it that everyone’s phones were out because we just accomplished a HUGE dream of ours) Colin started to kneel. He began proposing and I began crying. He took my breath away. We both look forward to the day we say “I Do.” and get to share our love with all of our friends, family and guests around us. Everyone moves at different paces in life and it’s all part of his plan.
