Our story began at a company picnic at New Mexico Orthopaedics. Terry had recently joined the practice, and being a firm believer in all that physical therapy has to offer, he sat down at the table with the PTs and struck up a conversation. He and Leann spoke briefly, and both felt inspired after their conversation. They were both in complicated situations at the time, but later, both confessed to each other that they left thinking If things were different, I'd like to get to know him/her better. Four years later, they got that chance when they crossed paths in the hallway at work, during COVID. Leann was moving up into management and trying to be more purposeful about befriending the physicians, so naturally, she said hello when she passed Terry in the hall. He quickly turned around and asked her to walk back to him saying, hold on, why don't I know you? They proceeded to chat enthusiastically about exercise and new treatment concepts for over an hour, right there in the hallway at work. They exchanged numbers, and Terry immediately texted and asked her to go hiking and grab dinner with him, which she gladly accepted. After their first date and discovering their mutual love for God, the Dallas Cowboys, reality TV, and basketball, the rest was history. They knew they had each found their person!
