Ian and Leann met in the middle of 2020, introduced by their mutual friend Rachel. They almost immediately connected over their shared sense of humor, watching bad tv, and a can do attitude that lead to their first date hiking Mount Washington, the most dangerous peak in the Northeast. They have followed up on that momentum with hiking and camping in Acadia National Park, Mount Ranier National Park, anywhere with a hill or mountain within 50 miles of Boston and an extremely challenging hiking expedition along the picturesque Kerry Way in Ireland as well as slightly more relaxed hiking trip in the Acores.

Appropriately Ian proposed to Leann on the last day of 2023 on a hike in the Blue Hills overlooking the Boston skyline, just as sun set on the year.
