Leanne and Erik are a success story of the Hinge Dating app, they matched thanks to the app in February of 2021. After chatting a bit, Erik worked up the courage to ask Leanne out for drinks. Their first date was at Six String Grill & Stage at Patriot Place on February 10th, a cold Wednesday night during Covid. Erik made a reservation for their table that night, but due to the lack of a crowd there, he broke the ice by saying he rented out the entire bar just for them.

From drinks at Patriot Place, to go cart racing, bowling and brewery tours, Erik and Leanne realized they had something special and were falling in love. They had begun making plans for a future together when that future came rather quickly for them when in April of 2021, they had found out they were having a baby.

Leanne and Erik were overjoyed to learn they would be having a child together as it was something they both knew that they wanted together in their very new relationship. Erik then sought out Leannes father, Daniel for his permission and blessing to ask for Leannes hand in marriage. Upon receiving this, he received a special possession to the Murray family. Leannes brother Spencer gave Erik the ring of their dear mother Susan, and had it remade to give to Leanne as part of the proposal.

With everything falling into place, Erik began planning the proposal. Everything was set for a lovely proposal and party in September, until Leanne tested positive for Covid. After taking care of Leanne for the week of her symptoms and almost proposing during the stint at home, a negative test on September 25th gave Erik the motivation he needed to carry out his plan, he couldn’t wait any longer. Leanne and Erik took a drive to CN Smith Farm in East Bridgewater to go apple picking & get Leanne out of the house. Little did she know that after picking an apple in the orchard, shed turn around to see Erik on one knee. Her first response was “What are you doing?” When Erik pulled the ring out she realized what was happening, and before Erik could finish asking the important question, Leanne said yes!

Now engaged and 3 months away from their baby girl coming for a Christmas arrival, Leanne and Erik eagerly anticipated Olivias arrival to complete the establishment of their new family.

Unfortunately, there was a moment that could not be anticipated as Erik’s father David, who battled cancer for 9 years, succumbed to his illness and passed away unexpectedly on October 25th 2021. Erik was devastated losing his best friend in life, with only months to go before Davids latest grandchild would come into the world.

During this difficult time for Erik, Leanne was incredibly supportive and kind. It further proved the bond that Leanne and Erik had established in such a short period of time and they knew they were indeed perfect for each other.

Christmas Day 2021, a 6 day late Leanne had already scheduled an induction day of December 27th. During a family gathering at Mr Murrays house in Norton, Leanne went into labour. Luckily she and Erik were prepared and had their bags packed for weeks leading up to Leannes due date in case a situation like this happened. A few hours later, they were in Boston at the Brigham checking Leanne into the hospital to bring Olivia into the world. 7 hours later on the morning of December 26th 2021 at 2:33am, an 8.1lb, 19in bundle of joy met her mother and father, as Olivia Susan Albertson was born on the day that was predicted by her late grandfather, David.
