The Trail - Old Man's Cave is approximately 1 mile long and takes about an hour to hike (but can be extended).
The most popular of all the Hocking areas is Old Man's Cave, located on State Route 664. Here at the Upper Falls, the Grandma Gatewood Trail begins its six-mile course connecting three of the park's areas: Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls to Ash Cave. This same trail has been designated as part of Ohio's Buckeye Trail as well as part of two national systems - the North Country Scenic Trail and America's Discovery Trail.
The Trail - Ash Cave trail is about a 1/2 mile long and takes about 40 minutes to hike. Towering hemlocks, a cascading waterfall, and a wide recess cave make Ash Cave one of Hocking Hills State Park's most popular hiking trails. Part of the trail leading to the cave is asphalt and easily accessible for wheelchairs, dogs on leash, and strollers.
There are 2 Trails to hike - An Upper Trail and a Lower Trail: The Lower Trail is a ¾ mile long, one-way, wheelchair-accessible trail. It takes about 1 hour to hike the trail. The Upper Trail is a one-way trail that is 2 miles long.
The Trail - Cantwell Cliffs - Two miles of trail with two loops to hike. One-way loop trail leading to parking areas. The trail is rugged and a one-way in and one-way out system. It is also the most remote.
There are over two miles of trail with two loops, each being one mile. It takes approximately 60 to 80 minutes to hike each loop of the trail.
