People always ask us, "Why North Carolina?"

To us, North Carolina seemed like a no-brainer, but here's why! For our third anniversary, Leland surprised me with a trip to stay at the Biltmore in Asheville. Up to that point, we hadn't experienced a vacation of just us two without our families, and neither of us had ever seen a true Fall season.

When we arrived in North Carolina, we were blown away - The trees were at peak fall foliage, the scenery was jaw-dropping, and everyone was so kind. The weather? Also perfect! It was truly the best experience we ever had together.

Somewhere in the mix of it all, we realized we'd found our person, and we wanted to spend forever together. Ever since that trip, we've been tossing around the idea of living the mountain life in North Carolina, half-jokingly, half-seriously. So, when it came time to tie the knot, it just felt right to do it here, surrounded by our favorite people.
