Our Wedding

We met in the wonderful world of internet dating, bantering about the importance of baby wipes. Lena then ghosted Andrew for about six weeks... After that, our relationship began . We spent every bit of time together battling our crazy schedules while Lena was working nightshift and Andrew was opening a new restaurant. We have grown together, spending our days at the beach, exploring new restaurants, and singing our hearts out at local concerts. Most importantly we have grown our family with two furry friends, Finnley and Franklin. We got engaged under the beautiful oak trees on September 25th, 2024. We can't wait to see everyone and celebrate!

There are plenty of great hotel options in the Charleston area. While we do not have a set hotel block, listed below are several options in the downtown area. Please book accommodations early, as Charleston experiences an influx of tourism in April. If you have any questions about the best areas to stay, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Set in the heart of Charleston across from Marion Square, this historic hotel features a full-service spa and an on-site restaurant serving classic Southern cuisine. The French Quarter is 0.6 mi away. A fully equipped fitness center is provided. A Starbucks Coffee® shop and full-service are on site as well. While staying at the Francis Marion, guests can enjoy regional specialties for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the Swamp Fox Restaurant. Live jazz music along with cocktails is also available at the hotel's Swamp Fox Bar. The College of Charleston, the Gibbes Museum of Art and the Charleston Museum are all within 0.8 mi from the Francis Marion Hotel. This hotel also borders the King Street shopping district.

Wedding Transportation & Parking

Kindly plan to arrive at the venue by five o'clock in the evening. There can be substantial traffic in the Charleston area at this time, please plan accordingly.A shuttle will be provided to downtown Charleston following the reception for guests who wish to continue the celebration.Please note that transportation to the venue will not be provided. Parking is available on site, and any vehicles left overnight must be retrieved by 11:00 AM the following morning.Uber and Lyft are permitted to enter the park and may drop off directly at the venue.When you arrive at the park there will be signs to follow directly to the venue.

Dress Code

Beach Formal-Elevated Coastal:Our Celebration will take place outdoors. Guests are invited to dress in polished summer formalwear- favoring lighter palettes, and airy fabrics. Think pastels and light colored suits.

We love your little ones, but this event is for guests 21 and older—thank you for understanding. We are so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests who are formally listed on the invitation. RSVP no later than March 17th

Great seafood and oysters. They do not take reservations though it is much easier to get a table than Chubby Fish.

The annual High Water Music festival that takes place on the North Charleston waterfront is taking place the Saturday and Sunday following the weddings. CAAMP and Sheryl Crow are set to play on Sunday. This is one of the biggest events every year in Charleston so be sure to buy tickets in advance.
