We’ve always loved traveling together, whether it’s a spontaneous road trip or a family-filled holiday in another state. Some of our favorite memories have come from new places, car ride karaoke sessions, and way too many snacks.
Here’s a look at where we’ve been—and where we’re dreaming of going next!
Where We’ve Been …
📍 Azusa Canyon, CA
A spontaneous February drive into the mountains so Lenny could conquer her fear of cliffside roads. Under the stars, we had our very first kiss. We weren’t officially dating yet, but that moment sealed it, we were already falling hard.
📍Bakersfield, CA
Our very first trip together: an oldies concert, strawberry picking, and our first (of many) silly arguments over street vendor hot dog prices. We also played games at Cracker Barrel, as all great couples do.
📍Seattle, WA
Our first time visiting Lenny’s family together, and Charles’ official introduction to Lola (who, thankfully, approved). Sunny days and warm hearts all around.
📍Monterey, CA
For Charles’ birthday, we visited the aquarium, ate too much ice cream, and made a pit stop at a literal castle on the way home. (Lenny did briefly consider it for the wedding venue—until we saw the price tag. Never mind.)
📍Vancouver, BC, Canada
A cozy, drizzly day across the border, complete with the famous suspension bridge and some of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had, eaten by the waterfront with freezing hands and full bellies.
📍Gilbert, AZ
Rang in the New Year visiting friends, where Lenny learned how to play Rummikub and pool (and definitely won in spirit).
📍Joshua Tree National Park
A quick desert adventure! We took our engagement photos at sunrise (yes, sunrise), then celebrated with cinnamon roll waffles from a tiny diner in the desert. 10/10, no notes.
📍 New York, NY
Our first big trip to the East Coast! We admired all the gorgeous architecture, ate our weight in amazing food, and struck a pose with Lady Liberty herself. Lenny finally discovered the true source of New Yorker rage (spoiler: it’s the sweaty, crowded subway). Charles lived his best life seeing not one but two Yankees games, while Lenny clapped along for the vibes.
Where We’re Going
🌺 Hawaii
A possible honeymoon destination—because what better way to celebrate marriage than with beaches, shaved ice, and not setting an alarm for five whole days?
🇬🇷 Greece
Lenny’s Mamma Mia dreams are calling, and Charles is tagging along for feta, sunsets, and dramatic musical numbers on cliffs. Dancing Queen status: pending.
🏰 Orlando, FL
Disney for Charles. Universal for Lenny. Matching shirts for both. Butterbeer, churros, and lots of parades? Yes, please.
🍱 Japan
Domo arigato Mr. Roboto! Domo … does anyone really need a good reason to want to visit this modern, yet traditional, place full of culture and beauty?
