Our Wedding

We met in 2019 in one of the most unexpected places, a deployment in Kuwait. Of all the places love could find us, it chose a military base in the middle of the desert. Fabian swears he knew I was the one the moment he saw me. He says there was just something about me that caught his eye and his heart. I, however, wasn’t so easily won over. I wasn’t looking for love out there, and definitely not in that season of my life. But Fabian was patient, steady, and genuinely kind. Over time, he broke down my walls with his sense of humor, his big heart, and the way he always showed up for me. About three months into our deployment, after a small bible study in a little tent on base, something changed. That night, Fabian had his first real encounter with God and afterward, we ended up having one of the deepest conversations we’ve ever had. I shared my testimony and how God saved me. I shared things I had never told anyone, and he shared pieces of his life and how he wanted to grow in his faith. That night felt like the start of something bigger than just us. It was the beginning of us with purpose. But like any love story worth telling, ours hasn’t been perfect. There was a season where we drifted from what we knew was right. We let life get loud and God get quiet. But even in that space, we always felt the pull back to something deeper, something more meaningful. And it was through a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit that everything shifted. We realized we didn’t want to build a life or a future without God at the center. That moment marked a turning point, and since then, we’ve been walking forward together with a renewed sense of love, grace, and faith. Now here we are, getting ready to start the next chapter of our journey. This time as husband and wife. We’re so thankful for everything that’s brought us to this moment: the laughter, the struggles, the late-night talks, the growing pains, and the deep, unshakable love that has only gotten stronger. We can’t wait to step into this new season, hand in hand, heart to heart, and future-focused.

Nicole and I met when I was just 16 and she was 18, working at our first job together at East of Chicago Pizza. Who would've thought that slinging pizzas would be the start of a lifelong friendship? From that moment on, we've been inseparable—through every break-up, every victory, every adventure.

She's been there for me through it all: from joining the Army and deploying overseas, to late-night talks, spontaneous vacations, and standing beside her as her maid of honor on her wedding day. We've grown up together, laughed until we cried, and lifted each other through the highs and lows of life.

Now, as I step into this new chapter, I couldn’t imagine doing it without her by my side. Nicole, thank you for always being my rock, my sister by choice, and my forever best friend. I’m so honored to have you as my matron of honor.

From the very first moment I met Fabby (Fabian’s older sister) she made me feel like family. She welcomed me with open arms, always included me in family plans, and went out of her way to truly get to know me. It felt like we became friends overnight.

Over the years, she’s been by our side, watching mine and Fabian’s relationship grow through every challenge and every milestone. Her support has meant the world to us, and her love has been constant through it all.

Now, it’s truly my honor to not only call her my friend, but officially my sister. I’m so blessed to be gaining someone I admire, trust, and would do anything for. Having her as my Maid of Honor means everything to me.

Fabiola Silva 

My little sister, my built-in best friend, and someone I’ve loved fiercely from the very start. Growing up, we did everything together! Laughing, fighting, dreaming, and being each other’s constant through all of life’s seasons.

Like any sisters, we’ve faced our share of challenges as we’ve walked different paths, but our bond has always remained strong. No matter what, I know she’d do anything for me and I’d do the same for her. She knows me better than almost anyone, and having her by my side on this day means the world to me.

I’m so proud of the woman she’s become and especially proud of the amazing single mom she is. Watching her love and care for her child with such strength, grace, and dedication inspires me every day. I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Meredith Potter

Lauren and I met at what I like to call my first "real big girl job" at Akron General. She started as a mentor to me at work, but it didn’t take long before she became one of my closest friends. From the moment we met, she challenged me in ways I didn’t expect! Spiritually, mentally, and physically (especially when we’d hit the gym together!).

She is the kind of friend I always prayed for, someone who challenges me to grow, lifts me up with encouragement, and never stops cheering me on. She’s been my rock through so many seasons, always showing up with love, strength, and support. Her friendship means the world to me, and I truly couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her by my side.

Jenny and I met at my current job at Cleveland Plastic Surgery, and from day one, she’s been there for me. We connected right away, and it was clear from the start that there was something truly special about our friendship. She’s always been someone I could talk to about anything, who gives the best advice, and who never fails to brighten my day—especially when I needed it most.

I’ve had the joy of watching Jenny step into new chapters of her life, from marriage to big milestones, and she’s handled it all with such grace and strength. She’s not only a dear friend, but a role model to me in so many ways.

It’s truly an honor to have her by my side on such a special day. Jenny, thank you for your friendship, your wisdom, and your constant love. I’m so grateful to walk into this next chapter with you standing beside me.

Alexis may technically be my nephew’s wife, but to me, she’s so much more. She’s like the sister I never knew I needed. From the moment we became family, she’s been someone I could confide in, laugh with, cry with, and count on through everything.

Alexis is a killer planner like seriously! I’ve watched her flawlessly pull off her own wedding, baby shower, and more events than I can count for her friends and family. So, naturally, she’s been my go-to girl throughout this entire wedding planning process, and I truly couldn’t have done it without her help, encouragement, and steady support.

She’s not only an incredible planner but also an incredible friend, confidant, and sister figure. I love her like my own sister, and I’m beyond proud of her as she steps into this beautiful new chapter of motherhood with such love and strength.

It’s such a blessing to have her as a bridesmaid and even more of a blessing to have her in my life.

Alexis Vlasek 

Emily is one of the kindest, most genuine souls I’ve ever met. She has a heart of gold and would do anything for her family—no questions asked, no hesitation. I’ve known Emily for what feels like forever. She and my nephew Timmy started dating all the way back in middle school, and I’ve had the honor of watching her grow from an incredible, supportive girlfriend to an even more amazing wife and now a loving mom to their beautiful baby girl.

She’s also been a total rockstar when it comes to helping me plan this wedding. She’s got a gift for pulling things together beautifully and she’s been such an immense help throughout this entire process. I honestly couldn’t have done it without her support, advice, and creative ideas.

Emily is the kind of person you can talk to about anything without fear of judgment. She listens with her heart, cares deeply for everyone in her life, and brings so much joy wherever she goes. Her smile lights up a room, her hugs are the absolute best, and her energy is pure sunshine.

I’m so incredibly blessed to have Emily not only as a bridesmaid but as a sister in my life. I’m forever grateful that Emily is part of my family and even more thankful to have her standing by my side on such a special day.

Breeze isn’t just my little brother, he’s one of my best friends and one of the kindest souls I know. From the very beginning, we’ve shared a special bond. I remember trying to teach him how to walk, looking out for him, and always doing my best to protect him. But as we’ve grown older, I’ve watched him become a man who doesn’t just return that love he multiplies it.

He’s the kind of person who would go to bat for the people he loves without a second thought. He’s loyal, caring, and has a heart that’s as big as it gets. Whether it's a laugh when you need one, a word of encouragement, or simply being there, Breeze shows up always.

Having him stand by my side as my Best Man is an honor I don’t take lightly. He’s more than just my brother, he’s someone I deeply admire, trust, and love. There’s no one else I’d rather have next to me as I take this next step in life.

Alex and I met thanks to a little matchmaking by Lenora and Nicole. They were determined to have us hang out and honestly, they didn’t have to try very hard. From the start, we clicked. We share the same sense of humor, love for gaming, and a mutual appreciation for sending each other the dumbest videos we can find. It’s been a running competition, and I think we’re both winning.

Beyond the laughs, Alex is genuinely one of the kindest and most caring people I know. He’s been a role model for me in many ways, especially when it comes to being a supportive husband. Watching the way he loves and shows up for Nicole has been inspiring, and I’m grateful to have him as a friend.

Having Alex stand by my side on this day means a lot. He’s more than just my groomsman he’s someone I’m lucky to call a friend for life.

Rocket isn’t just my cousin he’s been one of my closest friends for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we were pretty much inseparable. We spent our childhood outside, always riding bikes, getting into mischief, and pushing every limit we could. Let’s just say we earned more than our fair share of scrapes and bruises, but we had the best time doing it.

We’ve always shared a love for cars and working on them together, and those memories have become a huge part of our bond. Rocket is the kind of guy who’s loyal to the core, he’s kind, funny, and has a heart that always shows up for the people he cares about.

Having him stand by my side on my wedding day means the world to me. He’s more than family, he’s a true brother in every sense, and I couldn’t imagine this day without him.

Ismael Silva Jr.

Chandler is probably the most unlikely friend I've ever made but also one of the best. We met in the Army when I noticed him wandering around looking a bit lost, so I went up to him and said hi. From that moment, we hit it off. His positivity and enthusiasm were contagious, and his upbeat attitude quickly became a bright spot in my days.

Chandler served as a chaplain's assistant, and I was in behavioral health, so we spent the next six years working closely together, including during our deployment. Throughout that time, we became inseparable, always laughing, playing pranks on each other and others, and just having a good time. He was genuinely the first person to open my mind up when it came to faith. He was always patient in answering any and all questions I had, and I'd always be there to answer any life questions he had for me. We built a real bond over time, and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

He's the nicest and most selfless person I know. He would do anything for you, and I couldn't be more thankful to have him by my side on my wedding day.

Zachary Chandler

When I first met Sam my soon-to-be brother-in-law—he didn’t make things easy on me. I mean, I was dating his little sister, so naturally, he had to keep a close eye. Fun fact: he never actually saved my number in his phone until I proposed to Lenny.

But once I earned my place, Sam became a good friend and someone I truly respect. We’ve bonded over our shared love for video games, deep conversations about faith, and way too many trips to Texas Roadhouse his go-to spot.

Sam is the kind of guy who would do anything for his family, and I’m proud to be joining that family as his brother. I’m grateful for the friendship we’ve built, and even more grateful to have him standing with me on one of the most important days of my life.

Samuel Potter

Timmy is my soon-to-be nephew-in-law, but more importantly, he's become a great friend. We always pair up whenever we go golfing, vibing together on the course and listening to Sabrina Carpenter on repeat to improve our game. Timmy is down-to-earth, a great father and husband, and someone I truly admire. Although he's younger than me, I look up to how well he handles himself and his life. I'm grateful to know him and love him dearly.

Timothy Vlasek 

Tommy is my soon-to-be nephew-in-law, but more importantly, he's become a great friend. We always get along because we share the same sense of humor. Tommy is kind, caring, and always willing to help others. He's a great father and husband, and I admire the way he balances everything with such grace. One of my favorite things is when he picks on Lenny for me, it's like I get to tease her without getting in trouble! We both share a love for Marvel and European soccer, which has given us plenty to bond over. I'm grateful to have him by my side on my wedding day.
