Situated in the center of downtown, the state's capitol building is a beautiful Madison landmark. Take a (free!) tour of the building and be sure to check out the observation deck while you're inside. It offers amazing views of the city and illustrates the unique layout of how the city was settled between two lakes.

There is no shortage of amazing bars and restaurants in Madison! Leo and John met at The Dane, and it also happens to be one of their favorite spots! The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Smash Burger are a few of the couple's favorite items on the menu.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens is a 16-acre outdoor botanical garden and features a 10,000-square-foot conservatory. The conservatory is a tropical paradise, and the themed gardens are beautiful no matter the season. Walk the gardens at your own pace, or utilize the guided trolley tours. The gardens are free-admission.

The Henry Vilas Zoo is a Madison treasure, as it's one of few around the country to be admission-free! It's well maintained and the variety of animals you can see is quite expansive.
