Q + A

What’s happening on the wedding day?

Please arrive at The Edge at 4pm in time for our ceremony to commence. We are going straight into group photos, cocktail hour and then the reception, so there will be no break in between events. The curfew at the venue is at 11pm.

What should I wear for the wedding day?

Formal attire appropriate for the warm Bali climate. Please note, a large part of the venue will be outdoors and on grass.

What gift should I bring?

We are truly grateful for your presence on our special day and your well wishes mean the world to us. As we embark on this new chapter of our lives together, we kindly ask for your blessings and any contributions to our wishing well. For all those who don’t want to bring cash for the wishing well on the day, please contact Leon or Daisy for bank details to our wedding account.

What’s happening on the banquet night?

For all our friends and family arriving into Bali, we are hosting a banquet dinner at Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant to welcome everyone from around the globe and catch up before the big day. The restaurant is located inside Bali Dynasty Resort in Kuta. Dress code: smart casual

Where should I stay?

Our ceremony and reception will be held at The Edge hotel in Uluwatu on the south coast of Bali. The Edge offers villas on site if you would like to stay on the property. There are also many hotels and resorts in Uluwatu or the surrounding regions of Nusa Dua or Jimbaran Bay. Other popular areas to stay are Kuta, Seminyak, or Canggu (our personal favourite!) but these are further out, and can take up to an hour to get to Uluwatu during peak traffic periods.

How do I get around Bali?

The easiest way is the Balinese version of Uber: Grab or Gojek app. If you would like a private driver, message Leon or Daisy and we will introduce you to our driver Ketut who can organise someone for you.

Do I need to exchange money in Bali?

Most places will take card. Otherwise there are plenty of cash exchange places or ATMs to withdraw Indonesian rupiah (IDR). You will need cash to pay your private driver if you have arranged for one.
