Q: What if we can't make it/don't want to come to the welcome dinner?
A: That's okay! Of course we'd love for everyone to make it to the welcome dinner, even if it's just to swing by and grab a drink or say hello, but if you can only make it to the ceremony and reception, we understand.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: We don't really have a strict dress code for the ceremony or reception. The wedding party will be in formal wear, but we only ask that you dress nice (but maybe not too many layers for the ceremony, because hopefully it will be warm on the beach!
Q: What if I have a plus one that wasn't invited, can I bring them?
A: Since invites were sent out a year in advance, we're expecting some changes to happen! Maybe you have a new partner, or something changes and someone can't make it. If this happens, please just let us know via phone or email and we will make adjustments accordingly.
Q: How long am I expected to stay in Seaside? Is there a rehearsal ceremony or dinner?
A: Since we have such a small group (20-30 people expected), we're not going to be doing any rehearsals. Leslie and Jorden will be arriving Tuesday night (the 19th) and leaving Sunday afternoon (the 24th). Since we are expecting a majority of out-of-state guests that we don't get to see often, we'd love it if you can stay past the wedding and enjoy the weekend with us!
Q: Do I have to stay at the Ebb Tide Inn?
A: Of course not! We always stay at the Ebb Tide and we love it, but if you'd like to stay somewhere else - even in Cannon Beach - you can. The Ebb Tide will be where we have our block and reduced prices. Seaside and Cannon Beach are always busy in the summer though, so if you're looking somewhere else, be prepared to pay $300+ and we'd recommend booking as early as possible.
Q: What if it rains?
A: This is Oregon, and everybody knows there's always a chance of rain, even in the middle of summer. A little bit of rain isn't going to scare us off the beach, but if we've got a predicted downpour in the days leading up to the ceremony, the Beacon on Broadway (our reception location) can serve as a backup ceremony location as well.
Q: Do you have a registry?
A: Since we have a 'destination wedding' - meaning that the majority of guests will be coming from out of state and have to pay for flights, hotels, car rentals, etc. - we are not asking for additional gifts at our wedding. If you would still like to get us something, we'd love cash/prepaid visa cards that we can put toward wedding costs! Or, if you're more comfortable paying directly for something, let us know and we can do that as well. But, again, your presence at our wedding is gift enough for us.
