Leslie and Jacob's love was always destined to be. They have known each other since high-school and they each had a sense that there could be something more between them than just friendship. Following their high school years, Leslie completed school and began her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant, while Jacob pursued college and baseball.

With time passed and distance between them, they never fell out of touch. They would each find time to reach out and check-in on the other to see how life was going. Their paths would cross during Jacob's infrequent visits back home, where they seemed to always run into each other. This went on for years.

In the summer of 2021, Leslie was knee-deep in her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant and grinding out 60 hour work-weeks, while Jacob was living in San Marcos still trying to find work in his field. Frustrated with where he was in life, Jacob took a leap of faith. He quit his job and moved back home with hopes to finally begin his career. It wasn't long before Jacob reached out to Leslie for guidance. With a well- established reputation in the area, Leslie helped Jacob network. Within weeks, he was officially working in his field at multiple jobs.

The two became much closer during this time. With distance no longer in the way, they began to talk daily and go on casual lunch dates where they would sit and talk and get to know each other on a more personal level.

He loved her personality, and she understood his. She was conversational and outgoing, while he was quiet and reserved. Complimentary opposites in public, but alone together they could let their guards down and each be their goofy selves. Family and friends only helped confirm what they already knew and felt for one another.

Jacob knew she was the one. The only thing he had to do was...NOT mess it up! The two officially began dating April 10th, 2022 and have only built momentum since then. In September, 2023 they purchased their first home together, and 5 months later Jacob proposed!

While their relationship is not perfect, they each work hard to continue to grow and invest in each other; and together, invest themselves in God. Through years of faithfully waiting for the right person, they firmly believe that God's plan has come to fruition!
