Dicen que el destino se encarga de poner en nuestro camino a las personas que nos cambiarán la vida, y así fue para Leticia y Juber. Todo comenzó en el año 2012, en Córdoba, España, entre los pasillos de la universidad donde ambos cursaban un Máster. Juber ya conocía a algunos de los amigos de Leticia del año anterior y, un día, justo al salir de clase, Leti los vio conversando con un chico nuevo. Un intercambio de palabras, una primera impresión y, sin saberlo, el inicio de una historia que cruzaría fronteras, resistiría la distancia y se convertiría en un amor para toda la vida. Desde el principio, su conexión fue especial. Con el tiempo, descubrieron que cuando estaban juntos, todo tenía un brillo distinto, como si el mundo se llenara de colores más vivos y cada instante adquiriera un significado especial. Para Juber, cualquier momento al lado de Leticia —una simple comida, un paseo sin rumbo, una película en el sofá— se transformaba en un recuerdo precioso, en un instante más bello solo por compartirlo con ella. Para Leticia, Juber era la risa en los días grises, la chispa que volvía todo más emocionante. Y cuando él no estaba cerca, su corazón lo buscaba en cada pensamiento, en cada suspiro. Sin darse cuenta, sus almas ya se habían elegido, sin prisas, pero con la certeza de que estaban destinados a caminar juntos. Pero su historia no solo ha estado marcada por ellos dos, sino también por pequeños compañeros de vida. Cuando Juber conoció a Leticia, tenía una pequeña gatita llamada Cachimba, quien con el tiempo tuvo un cachorrito llamado Romy en 2014. Desde entonces, ellos han sido parte inseparable de la familia, acompañándolos en cada etapa de su vida. Y así como su amor creció y evolucionó, también lo hizo su familia, con la llegada de Oliver, nacido en 2023 en Dublín, Irlanda, el motor de sus vidas, el regalo más grande que les ha dado su amor y la prueba de que juntos, pueden con todo. Como en toda gran historia de amor, hubo desafíos que pusieron a prueba su unión. Al finalizar el máster, la incertidumbre se hizo presente: el futuro de Juber en España pendía de un hilo, sin un vínculo que asegurara su permanencia. Sin embargo, el amor que los unía era más fuerte que cualquier obstáculo, y decidieron aferrarse el uno al otro, sin importar lo que el destino les tuviera preparado. Y como si el universo ya supiera que debían estar juntos, una oportunidad inesperada tocó a su puerta: Juber recibió una beca para realizar su doctorado en Córdoba, asegurando cinco años más en España y, con ello, el tiempo y el espacio necesario para seguir escribiendo su historia de amor. El momento más mágico de su relación llegó en Taormina, Italia. Juber, con la complicidad de la administradora del restaurante Otto Geleng, preparó una cena inolvidable. Tras una velada perfecta, un postre especial llegó a la mesa, cubierto por una campana de cristal llena de humo. Cuando Leticia la levantó, entre el suave vapor apareció un anillo con una esmeralda, traída especialmente desde Colombia, como un símbolo de las raíces y el amor de Juber. Juber, tan emocionado y nervioso, olvidó arrodillarse, pero nada podía opacar la felicidad del momento. A lo largo de todos estos años, han crecido y madurado juntos, han superado la distancia, los cambios y los nuevos comienzos. También han explorado el mundo de la mano, viajando y descubriendo juntos la belleza de la vida en cada rincón. Cada destino visitado les ha dejado recuerdos inolvidables: cafés con aromas desconocidos, cócteles compartidos bajo cielos nuevos, comidas que despertaron los sentidos y ciudades que fueron testigos de su amor. Viajar juntos ha sido otra forma de enamorarse una y otra vez, de vivir la aventura de la vida con el mejor compañero posible.Hoy, su historia los ha llevado hasta aquí, a este momento en el que celebran su amor rodeados de sus seres queridos. Este es solo el comienzo de una nueva etapa, de más aventuras, de más momentos especiales. A few words exchanged, a first impression, and without realizing it, the beginning of a love story that would cross borders, withstand distance, and become a lifelong journey together. From the very beginning, their connection was special. Over time, they discovered that when they were together, everything had a different glow— as if the world became more vibrant, and every moment held a deeper meaning. For Juber, any time spent with Leticia— a simple meal, a spontaneous walk, a movie night on the couch— became a treasured memory, a more beautiful moment simply because she was by his side. For Leticia, Juber was the laughter on gray days, the spark that made everything more exciting. And when he wasn’t around, her heart searched for him in every thought, in every breath. Without even realizing it, their souls had already chosen each other, slowly but surely, with the certainty that they were meant to walk this journey together. But their story has not only been about the two of them; it has also been shaped by their little companions along the way. When Juber met Leticia, he had a small kitten named Cachimba, who later had a baby kitten named Romy in 2014. Since then, they have been an inseparable part of their family, accompanying them through every stage of life. And just as their love grew and evolved, so did their family, with the arrival of Oliver, born in 2023 in Dublin, Ireland— the heart of their lives, the greatest gift their love has given them, and proof that together, they can overcome anything. Like every great love story, theirs faced challenges. When they finished their Master’s, uncertainty loomed over them— Juber’s future in Spain was uncertain, as he had no legal ties to stay. But the love they shared was stronger than any obstacle, and they decided to hold onto each other, no matter what the future held. And as if the universe had already planned for them to stay together, an unexpected opportunity arrived: Juber was awarded a scholarship to pursue his Ph.D. in Córdoba, securing five more years in Spain and, with it, the time and space to continue writing their love story. The most magical moment of their journey happened in Taormina, Italy. With the help of the restaurant's manager, Juber planned an unforgettable evening. After a perfect dinner, a special dessert arrived at their table, covered by a glass dome filled with smoke. As Leticia lifted the dome, the delicate vapor dissipated to reveal a ring with a Colombian emerald— a symbol of Juber’s roots and love. Juber, overwhelmed and nervous, forgot to kneel, but nothing could overshadow the happiness of that moment. Throughout the years, they have grown and matured together, overcoming distance, changes, and new beginnings. They have also explored the world hand in hand, discovering the beauty of life in every corner they visit. Every destination has gifted them unforgettable memories— coffee shops with unfamiliar aromas, cocktails shared under foreign skies, dishes that awakened their senses, and cities that witnessed their love. Traveling together has been another way of falling in love over and over again, of experiencing life’s adventure with the best partner possible. Today, their journey has led them here, to this moment where they celebrate their love surrounded by those they cherish the most. This is just the beginning of a new chapter, filled with more adventures and unforgettable moments. And today, they celebrate with you the promise to keep building this story— always together. 💛
