Amber and Levi met at UNL in the Spring of 2022 when Levi subbed for a friend on Amber's intramural basketball team. After shooting "too many threes," Amber became very upset at Levi for "not passing the ball." After the game, Amber called her mom and vented to her about this annoying kid who showed up and would not stop shooting, and they never spoke to each other again.

Until October 31, 2022! When Levi was invited over to Amber's house for a Halloween party, where they got to actually meet each other, and Amber found out that Levi wasn't really a bad guy. Over the next several months, Amber and Levi began to see each other more and more (thanks to Amber's deliberate planning).

By the time the Summer of 2023 came around, Amber and Levi had become very close, talking to each other daily and finding any reason they could to hang out. Levi had finally taken the hint and realized that maybe "just friends" wasn't exactly what Amber was looking for, and on July 3, 2023, Levi asked Amber to be his girlfriend.

From that point on, there was no looking back. They found whatever time they could within their busy days to see each other. What they used to do alone, they began to do together, walking to class together, getting late-night McChickens, and spending hours and hours talking about life, their values, and their future. They not only became boyfriend and girlfriend, but also best friends along the way.

It took all of eleven days for Levi to know he loved Amber, and not much longer for him to know he wanted to marry her. On July 11, 2024, Amber and Levi went ring shopping, and on August 23, 2024, less than a week after getting the ring, Levi proposed, and Amber said yes!

Our story is one that God has been weaving together for years, and we are so excited to see where He leads us in the years to come. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with all of you on August 9, 2025!
