Blake and I tied the knot on April 26, 2024, it was a beautiful day and we could not have been more excited. We have hiked throughout the years and on January 1, 2024 during our New Year’s Day hike we discovered the perfect spot and knew that is where we were going to get married. Flash forward to some planning but mostly winging it (because that’s what we do), we had a date set and we were ready. We set off that morning of the 26th full of excitement and joy, the hike was fun and the perfect length. As we got closer and closer to our destination the nerves set in for me, at least. The ceremony and vow exchange was straight to the point in typical “ us” fashion and as you can see in one of the pictures below, I couldn’t believe that was it, we were finally married. We remained on cloud 9 the rest of the day and even now as I’m writing this a month later it feels so surreal we are husband and wife. It’s something we have always wanted from the moment we met and it’s something that I never wanted to rush because we didn’t need the title, we already felt and joked about being husband and wife. After it was official, it felt even better than I could have imagined. This was it, our happy beginning.
