Are the ceremony and the reception at the same location?
The ceremony and the reception are ~4 miles away from each other (roughly 10-15 minutes) so please plan for transportation between each venue!
What if I am not catholic?
That is OK - Neither is the groom, LOL!
But truly, all are welcome - Our ceremony will not include a full Catholic mass (no communion) and a program will be provided for you to follow along (don't worry... you will know when to sit, stand, kneel, stand, sit, etc. ;))
Can I bring a plus one?
While we would love nothing more than to invite everyone, we are very limited by our reception venue and are unable to accommodate any additional guests. All those who are formally invited are listed on you and your family's RSVP list.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive to the wedding ceremony no later than 2:45p as the wedding ceremony will start promptly at 3:00p.
The reception will officially begin at 5p however, The Petroleum Club will be ready to welcome you as early as 4:45p. Please use the break in-between the ceremony and the reception to explore downtown Houston, take some pictures or even grab a drink at a local bar!
Where do I park?
At the church, there will be plenty of parking in the parking garage. Please refrain from parking in the circle drive as the wedding party will be taking pictures outside after the ceremony.
For the reception at The Petroleum Club, there will be complimentary valet parking (our gift to you!)
what is for dinner?
You pick!! (Pey and I's favorite thing to say to each other, lol)
On your RSVP, you will have the option to select what sounds good to you! (this will be a plated dinner)
Is there an open bar?
....DUH
What should I wear?
Suit, tux, formal gown, midi-dress, whatever you feel best in! We invite you to come as you are - we truly mean it!
What is the weather like in January?
Honestly...no telling. Could be 40*, could be 80* - we will find out! I suggest to check the radar ~1 week out for a good idea however, everything will take place inside!
Do you have a wedding hashtag?
Of Course! Feel free to use the hashtag #goingtothechatple in all your instagram pics so we can find them after the wedding!
