Jenna - Maid of Honor
Jenna has had the privilege of knowing me since we were one year olds, which means she’s one of the few people who has witnessed every questionable fashion choice and knows every embarrassing story possible. So yes, I’m a little nervous for her speech...We grew up making up dances no one would ever see (thank goodness), playing dress-up, having more sleepovers than you could count, and even tagging along on each other’s family trips. Including the one we ruined by sleeping through the entire thing. We have always been inseparable, and because of that, choosing my maid of honor was never really a decision at all. Jenna, I am forever grateful for our friendship and so incredibly honored to have someone who has been such a constant, important part of my life standing beside me on this special day!
Jacob - Best Man
Jacob is my oldest brother and best man. Jacob was always an amazing big brother, even though he dislocated BOTH of my elbows. When we were younger, we spent countless hours playing games together, where Jacob would typically “let” me win. We did drive by dunks on strangers, played every World Cup game in the basement, and even started a very successful wristband business together (Ballin’ ain’t a hobby). I’ve always looked up to Jacob, and I am glad to have him standing by my side on our big day.
Isabelle - Bridesmaid
Isabelle and I have always been very close cousins! Growing up, we were always in matching clothes, staying up all night eating way too many pizza bagels and doing who knows what else, and telling everyone we were twins even though she was always a foot taller than me. Because we were only able to see each other 1-2 times per year, we spent every possible second together. Isabelle has such a kind heart, brightens up every room, and I am so grateful to have her by my side, today and always!
Josh - Groomsman
Josh is my other older brother and groomsman. He has been a huge part of my life. Growing up, we spent a lot of time playing games and competing in sports. We grew very close when playing on the same basketball team, working together, and being in the same swim lesson class. Josh has always been dependable, supportive, and a role model for me. He is always thinking of ways to help others. When I moved back home after college, Josh was even kind enough to continue living in our parents’ basement to stay with me.
Abby - Bridesmaid
Abby and I met through basketball in 5th grade, as well as through volleyball. We have been close friends throughout elementary, high school, and college! Abby and I spent many flex periods in high school peppering a volleyball, and I have her to thank for all the times she “accidentally” shanked the ball over to where Caleb was just so I had to talk to him. She never fails to make me laugh, and truly, this gal is the life of every party. She makes life so sweet and fun, and I am so proud to call her one of my best friends!
Bryce - Groomsman
Despite what others say, Bryce is not only a groomsman because he is Lexi’s brother. Bryce definitely deserves some credit for helping Lexi & me find each other. I met him during preseason basketball workouts. After only a couple of weeks of knowing each other, Bryce called me over to say, “You should date my sister”. I responded with, “I think I should date you”. Since then, we’ve only grown closer, and many do question if we are the ones dating. I am thrilled to soon be able to call Bryce my brother.
Olivia - Bridesmaid
Olivia and I also met through basketball and volleyball in 5th grade. We have had such a strong friendship since then. We spend most of our time in Target, trying on every item they sell, painting something random in one of our basements, or roaming around the Madison farmers market looking for flowers and Stella's cheese bread. Olivia is truly one of the sweetest, most loyal people I've ever met! To know her is to love her, and I am so honored to have her a part of my life!
Tommy - Groomsman
Tom and I have been close friends since 6th grade, when we met through basketball. Tom is one of the best guys I know (he’s single, ladies!), and I’m lucky to call him a friend. We’ve endured a lot together, including some rough high school basketball seasons, a day of 36 holes of golf, and multiple freezing cold sand volleyball matches. I know that I can depend on Tom for anything, especially if that anything is a fantasy football trade or offering to put on a skit for everyone else. I could not ask for a better or more loyal friend than Tommy.
Allison - Bridesmaid
Shocker! Allison and I met through basketball in 5th grade, as well, back when she was taller than me :) But it wasn't until rooming together for two years in college that we became very close friends. We have so many things in common, including graduating with the exact same degree, knowing every word to the Friends TV show, and always down for a coffee date & yap session. In fact, we rewatched all 10 seasons of Friends over four times during our senior year of college. Allison is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, always looking out for others, and I am so, so blessed to have her in my life!
Zach - Groomsman
Zach and I met early in high school through basketball and quickly became close. We spent a lot of time complaining about basketball, in the athletic trainers, and going to Taco Bell and Culver’s. Brewer is a Taco Bell fanatic, but the only thing he likes more than Taco Bell is switching his major. His job history includes x-ray technician, educator, electrician, and high school mascot. Before we started dating, Zach once mentioned Lexi’s name to me, and to this day, he still wants credit for our entire relationship. Almost every memorable high school moment I have involves Zach, and I’m grateful to still be friends with such a great guy.
Kym - Bridesmaid
Caleb gets the credit for introducing me to Kym. Caleb and Kym met through being an RA at college, but even though she knew Caleb first, I was always her favorite :) Kym & I have developed several inside jokes and have grown very close! Kym, Willie, Caleb, and I have spent many weekends together over the years for game nights, potato parties, Brewer games, margarita towers, and nights out on the town. Kym is the most genuine, selfless, and loving person I've met. Forever thankful to have her standing with me!
Willie - Groomsman
Willie & I met the same way all great friends do, by him being my RA freshman year of college. We became better friends over the next several years when I became an RA. We bonded over our “love” for the job, our mediocre golf skills, and our delusional faith in Wisconsin sports (& Chelsea). Willie is the type of guy that you want to get a beer and play a game of cribbage with (he once scored a 29 pt hand). Willie even made Lexi & me the godparents to their “calm” and “mellow” puppy, Dakota.
Aidan - Usher
Oh, where to start with Aidan? This kid is literally my second brother in every way. I love him like a brother and treat him like a brother, which is why he has the photo that he does. Some of you might know Aidan as the one and only "Anton Mayer," but I only know him as the weird, awkward kid that Bryce always hung out with, who would often leave our house with only one shoe. Aidan, Jenna, Bryce, & I (aka the fab four) have spent many nights in our PJs at Crumble Cookie and walking aimlessly around Walmart until midnight. If you’ve ever seen us in public, I’m truly sorry! Thanks for all the memories and for being such a big part of my life!
Nolan - Usher
Nolan was my college roommate freshman year. That year was filled with long, cold walks across campus to get food, sports gambling, and many, many hours of staying up late playing video games. Perhaps our greatest accomplishment is the night we won 22 straight Clash Royale games. Aside from rooming together, Nolan and I also worked at Walmart together. We spent summer and winter breaks stocking shelves and finding the most unique ways to waste time. Nolan is one of the funniest people I know, and overall a great guy, but I think we both agree that we don’t miss living in a 180 sq ft room together.
Stephanie - Personal Attendent
You guessed it... Stephanie & I also met through basketball in 5th grade! I really owe it to basketball for all of these amazing gals! We stayed great friends throughout high school and continued growing that friendship throughout college, despite not going to the same school. We’ve spent most of our time together downtown Madison or catching up with a coffee and brunch. Caleb also has a fun connection with Steph, as he had the honor of walking with her on prom court! Stephanie always has a smile on her face, is the kindest and most supportive person, and is always there for everyone! I have loved getting to know such an amazing person for so long and couldn't be more grateful to have her be a part of my day!
