Lexi and Jake had met a few times through a mutual friend of their's, until they were finally set up by the same friend. They hit it off immediately and decided they wanted to start dating in October 2020. At that time Lexi was preparing to move to Nashville, Tennessee with her parents, so they were trying not to get too attached as they knew there was a limited time to their new relationship.In a crazy turn of events, Lexi and her parents were involved in a bad car accident on their way to the airport, which left all of them with various injuries, and forcing them to stay in San Diego for a little while.While Lexi was recovering, Lexi and Jake continued to grow closer and closer. Ultimately, Lexi decided that she would not be heading to Nashville with her parents and moved into an apartment with Jake. Through a couple of moves, various ups and downs in there lives, and after four years dating, Jake proposed to Lexi at the Carlsbad Strawberry Fields in October 2024.

Kaylynn and Lexi have been Best Friend’s since they were 10 years old! They met for the first time in band class in the fourth grade when Lexi was too tall for Kaylynn to see the teacher so Kaylynn got upset! Then, they settled those differences and became best friends in the fifth grade, when they were in the same class together and sat next to each other. Kaylynn and Lexi have gone through all their milestones together ever since! Including being in each other’s weddings! Those who know Kaylynn and Lexi, know how close of friend’s they have been their whole lives, no matter how far of distance has separated them!

Cheyenne and Lexi have been best friends since the sixth grade when they were both in Intermediate Band together! They grew up together doing band all throughout middle and high school, spending all their holiday breaks together in College, and celebrating milestones since! Cheyenne is the reason this wedding is happening as well because she is the one who introduced Lexi to Jake! Cheyenne used to work with Jake at Apple, and while Lexi was friends with many of Cheyenne’s friends at Apple for years, (a lot of which were also Jake’s friends) she had never met Jake until 2020! Cheyenne also helped Jake to coordinate the proposal! She has always been a best friend to Lexi, and one who she has cherished spending so many memories with.

Claire and Elaine have always welcomed Lexi into the family since day 1! They are Jake’s sisters and Lexi could not ask for better sister-in-laws! They support Lexi’s love for baking and sports and she is so excited for them to be a part of her and Jake’s wedding, and life!

Michael and Jake have been family since Michael married Jake's Eldest sister Elaine in 2007. Since that time Michael has been a key figure in Jake's life as he grew up. As a brother, a mentor, a confidant, and a friend, Jake couldn't have asked for a better addition to his family.

Gabe, Phillip, and Jake have been inseparable since meeting at work. Jake has known Phillip for over 4 years, and known Gabe for over 2 years. They became fast, yet true, friends that have always been there for each other through ups and downs personally and professionally.

Nathan and Jake have been family since Nathan married Jake's older sister Claire in 2019. Nathan and Jake became fast friends as they were frequently the only two who knew anything about pop culture from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings and all things in between. As a brother, a mentor, a peer, and a friend, Jake couldn't have asked for a better addition to his family.

Clinton and Jake met at work over 8 years ago. Clinton has been the best mentor and colleague Jake has ever had. Over the years their professional relationship has blossomed into a fruitful friendship and brotherhood though the trials and tribulations of their roles at work. Jake attributes much of his success at his job and growth as a person to Clinton's mentorship and leadership since his first day.
