You can access the trail from MT Highway 2. If you are driving from Butte, access to the park will be on your right (or south side of the highway) about 9 miles out of town. 25 miles of non-motorized trails on the historic Milwaukee Railroad from the forest boundary south to Pipestone Pass and the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, passing through two tunnels and over a 600-foot steel trestle along the way.

Great waterpark in Stodden Park
One of many access points to the The Copperway Trails and Butte Heritage Park Trails- a network of non-motorized trails linking a variety of cultural sites. Great views and one of Lexi's favorite parts of Butte! There is a Granite Mountain Memorial overlook at the top.
The Berkeley Pit is an abandoned open-pit copper mine in Butte, Montana, and is one of the largest and most famous examples of a contaminated mine site in the United States. The pit, which is over 1,780 feet deep and approximately one mile wide, has filled with highly acidic water (pH as low as 2.5) since the mine was closed in 1982. This water contains dangerous concentrations of heavy metals and toxic chemicals, including arsenic, cadmium, and copper.
