Our Wedding

Lexi and Matt's love story began in December 2020. Amidst a world altered by the ongoing global pandemic, the two matched on Bumble. Matt's profile caught Lexi's eye as she noticed he had included a quote from the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall: "the weather outside is weather." It was a quirky line that resonated with her, a perfect reflection of the unpredictable times they were living in. Embracing her spontaneous side, Lexi decided to message Matt with a playful twist. "The weather outside is weather for sure" she wrote. To her delight, Matt responded with equal wit and charm. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, as if they had known each other for years. They arranged their first date at Roey's, a cozy restaurant in the West Village. However, due to New York City's rules and regulations at the time, they had to dine outside in the winter cold. As they shared their first in-person conversation, Lexi and Matt quickly realized that their lives were oddly parallel. They both frequented the Yardarm in Westhampton Beach, studied abroad in Prague at the same time, and had a handful of mutual friends. Lexi and Matt's connection grew stronger with each passing day. The two became inseparable, and shared many memorable experiences together. They embarked on exciting trips around the world, creating memories in Miami, Newport, Sun Valley, London, Paris, and Park City, to name a few. After countless Uber rides between Turtle Bay and Soho, Matt and Lexi decided to level up their relationship and move in together in the summer of 2022. Their Greenwich Village apartment soon became their favorite spot to cook homemade meals together and enjoy thriller movies and TV shows from their couch. In June 2023, the day arrived that Lexi had dreamed about—Matt got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. With tears of joy, Lexi accepted his proposal, knowing that this was the beginning of a lifetime of love and happiness.

Montauk Yacht Club is where our wedding will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, as well as our farewell brunch on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Ditch Plains Beach is one of the best beaches in Montauk and famous for surfing. Anyone parking a car will need an East Hampton Town beach sticker. If you arrive on a bike or by foot, it’s free. There is a lifeguard on duty in the summer.
