Lexi and Matts journey started at Dr. Knox Middle School. Though Lexi and Matthew had been in the same classrooms in preschool and elementary school, it was in seventh grade that their paths began to truly converge. Matthew, with his signature Bieber hair and natural athletic prowess, caught Lexi's attention. She found herself always captivated by his effortless charm, quick wit, and sporty style. She had eyes for "Matt V" all throughout their middle school years. Lexi summoned the courage to ask Matt to be her boyfriend the end of grade 7, but unfortunately, Matt wasn't quite ready to settle down.

As they transitioned into high school, their mutual friend groups kept them in each others' circles. By the time they reached university, their paths crossed with even greater frequency. Lexi and Matt both started at UBCO and had overlapping science classes, both determined to end up in the medical field.

It was in this first year of university that Lexi and Matthew found themselves in the same chemistry class. They spent hours studying and grew closer over the semester. This was where their relationship began to shift from friendship to romance.

It was October 2015 when they became an "official" couple. Within the next few years, the demands of their academic pursuits led them to separate locations. Their long-distance relationship was tested by miles but their bond proved resilient with the help of Facetime and frequent road trips to visit each other.

In 2020, Lexi finished school and moved back to Kelowna, Matthew soon followed in early 2022. They moved into their first purchased house together in August 2022. Matthew proposed to Lexi less than a year later on a beach in the Bahamas, which was the easiest "yes" she's ever said.

Now here they are... tying the knot 10 years later!
