Jake and Lexi have known each other since 8th grade due to mutual friends. When they were both in college, Lexi was invited to Jake's family lake house by their match maker, Justin. Fast forward a few weeks, Jake and Lexi started secretly hanging out and doing summer homework together for Purdue. They had a short fling that followed back to Purdue for the fall semester of 2020 until it broke off due to not being ready for relationships.

A year later, Jake and Lexi reconnected on November 9th, 2021, where Jake sent Lexi an iPhone game out of the blue and then asked her to come visit him in Atlanta. Jake officially asked Lexi to be his girlfriend on January 13, 2022.

They did long distance for a while and visited each other multiple times during the first few months of their relationship, but Jake ultimately made the choice to move home to South Bend, Indiana with Lexi.

Jake and Lexi bought a house in November 2022 and have since been renovating, furnishing, traveling, and making endless memories together.

On September 30th, Jake took Lexi on a surprise trip to Banff, Alberta, Canada. That same night, Jake and Lexi headed to Quarry Lake in Canmore with their friends and Jake got down on one knee and popped the question. He even hired a photographer that was hiding in the woods while we walked up. It was so special and out of the blue! The couple was able to spend the rest of their trip having fun with friends and soaking in the fact that they were finally engaged!
