It seems like every current day love story starts with an online dating app, and while ours may have started that way, we have been amused with how much our lives may have crossed in the past and never knew!

Joe and I did indeed match through 2 separate dating apps. After hitting it off through the apps and exchanging numbers, we were talking quite a bit! We realized that we shared a mutual, good friend in common, Noelle. Shortly after some time texting, Noelle, some of our friends, him, and I all decided to go see a concert at the Turning Stone. I was so nervous about meeting him for the first time, that I almost bailed! Noelle called me and convinced me to go to the concert. I always say, without Noelle, there would be no wedding!

When Joe and I first started talking, he was leaving for the Court Officer Academy in Albany soon and he made his intentions clear of not looking for anything serious, boy look how things turned out now! We decided to continue texting and talking to each other, with the thought of maybe getting a good friendship out of it. After hitting it off so well when meeting for the first time, calling or texting each other excessively, and hangout several times, we both quickly realized how much we liked each other. The Sunday before Joe would leave to the Academy, he hinted at wanting to make it official, I turned that idea down and told him to wait. The next weekend, he came up to Syracuse and asked me to be his girlfriend, and well, now, the rest is history!

Aside from sharing a good friend together, we learned our parents live within 5 minutes from each other, knowing of another close friend of his, we went to the same gym, and worked in the same Plaza! There are so many more coincidences I can list on how our paths might have crossed before we found each other, but I am a firm believer that Everything happens for a reason. I always joke and say how I wish we met and dated sooner, but I know Joe came into my life at the exact time he did for this all to work out.

In our five years of dating, we have started our careers, live in our cute little home, share amazing memories together, raising our cute puppy, gone on incredible vacations, went through broken faces/bones, and so much more! Through the lowest of lows and highest of highs, there is no one else Id rather do this whole "life" thing with. We are so excited to start this new chapter of getting married and seeing what else life has to offer for us. We are beyond grateful to have our most favorite and special people in our lives be able to join in celebration with us on our wedding day <3
