We met through mutual friends back in the winter of 2021. We were both out for the night on College Ave when we were first introduced, from there we started to hang out in group settings more often for the next couple months. Over the course of those months, we both were convinced that we hated each other, when in reality the opposite was true.

That summer, we went to Paperfest in Kimberly to see Eli Young Band, then spent the next day watching Space Jam 2 and the Bucks playoff run (which we both attribute the start of our relationship to, even though Space Jam stunk). We started to hang out more and realized how much we truly enjoyed being together, and the rest was history.

We spent the next year and a half doing all the things we love to do. We started training our puppy, Nola, found our love for cooking together, traveled and went on countless movie dates after the first one. During this time, we both considered ourselves so lucky to have found our best friend and true love all in the same person.

On Thanksgiving in 2022, we were spending the weekend up in Door County with Lexi's family. We were on a hike at Whitefish Dunes State Park when Jon popped the question, which was met with an easy and immediate yes from Lexi.

We chose The Grain Loft in Algoma due to its close proximity to one of our favorite places in the world, Door County. We are so excited to spend our day with you and cannot wait to celebrate our love in June 2024!
