Lexi and Jake met back in 2017 through two of their best friends, who most of you might know, Bryn and Connor Ventura. While Jake was working on getting his in-state tuition to go to Colorado School of Mines, he stayed at the Ventura's house for the summer. And if you knew anything about Lexi in high school, 9 times out of 10 she was with Bryn, also at the Ventura household, wreaking havoc. Through spending a decent amount of time around each other, Lexi and Jake became pretty good friends, even though both of them were dating other people at the time.

Fast forward a year, both of them just so happened to be single and they started making a point to hang out more. That summer was a whirlwind of late night hammock sessions, sneaking into pools after hours, and stolen kisses whenever they could. Jake finally asked her on a date to 3 Margaritas (clearly knew the way to her heart), and on September 9th, 2018, he asked her to be his girlfriend. For the next 3 years, Lexi and Jake only saw each other on the weekends as they were living on different college campuses, and of course, school came first (at least for the engineer).

Even though functioning as a “mid-distance” relationship, they just became closer and stronger as time went on. In April of 2024, Jake finally popped the question everyone had been waiting for, in their favorite place…Jamaica! What started as a simple summer living arrangement blossomed into a beautiful love story that neither Lexi nor Jake could have predicted. They are looking forward to celebrating with everybody back in the place that means the most to them.
