Our Wedding

We first met at church, and at the time Thorne was working for his friend’s dad, who also happened to be friends with Lexie’s dad. Her dad helped with jobs occasionally, so when Thorne talked about work one night, Lexie asked if he knew her dad. He wasn’t sure until the very next day when they unintentionally ended up working the same job together. The following week at church, Thorne walked up to Lexie and said, “I met your dad!” That moment sparked a friendship that started everything. For a while, we stayed just friends, but over time we realized how much we agreed on in life, relationships, faith, likes, and dislikes. We had so much in common it never felt like a coincidence. Even though Thorne is younger, he stood out right away with how mature, intentional, and steady he was. From Thorne’s side, Lexie was outgoing, funny, beautiful, and always smiling. Everything shifted one night around a bonfire talking over s’mores when we shared what we wanted in a future spouse. That conversation changed everything and made it clear we had found something special. After lots of prayer and wise counsel, dating felt completely right, like God aligned our lives at the perfect time. Even though our age difference didn’t make sense to most people, it made perfect sense to us.As our relationship grew, we had our share of ups and downs, but at the end of the day, we always chose each other. We serve at church together, cheer on Tennessee football, spend time outdoors, and have plenty of cozy nights in watching movies and shows. We balance each other well, where one of us is weak, the other is strong. We’ve learned how to walk through every season by supporting and growing with each other. While we were in Mexico with Thorne’s family, he made one of the biggest decisions of our lives and asked Lexie to marry him. The proposal was intentional, meaningful, and a complete surprise, and it felt like we were standing on top of the world. Since then, we’ve been so excited to start this next chapter and build a life together. We cannot wait for marriage and all the little everyday moments that will fill our forever. We’re grateful for the way God brought us together, and we can’t wait for this next chapter!
