The bride has asked the Maid of Honor, Mary Ellen, to write “our story.” Mary Ellen knows Anthony and Lexie very well; their personalities, strengthens, weaknesses, and the ins and outs of their relationship.

My plan was to write about Lexie, then Anthony, and finally conclude with their relationship. I struggled to do this and eventually had to delete everything because I had a grand epiphany. Lexie and Anthony are separate people. They each have their own unique interests, crazy awesome personalities, friends, goals, and ideas; however, you cannot know one of them without seeing the other in them. They have each adopted the mannerisms of their counterpart. If Lexie had never met Anthony, I would know less of Lexie because he brings traits and conversations out of her that only he could. The same would go for Anthony if Lexie was not in his life. This is so insanely beautiful to me because when I think of Lexie, it is often followed by Anthony’s name because they are so closely related in my mind. I honestly cannot imagine a life without both of them being together. Their relationship is far from perfect, and they will be the first to tell you that. The people we love most are the ones who are also in the position to hurt us the most. That level of vulnerability is hard, but I have loved seeing them both learn and grow together to be a stronger unit. I admire the way they communicate, rely on each other, center themselves in Christ, and always find the time to make each other laugh relentlessly. I love you both immensely and am so excited to stand with you at your wedding and through your marriage.
