Mark and Lexie have known each other for 16 years thanks to Measurlogic. When Lexie first met Mark she was 16 and he 13. They were only acquaintances at this age though, as she most certainly was not going to be seen driving her car with a middle schooler in it lol.

It all started February 17, 2017, at Texas Roadhouse up in Fort Collins, when Lexie's mom asked if Mark could come out to dinner with them and her good friend Ashley. She said sure "John's kid, yeah, I know him, he can come." The winter Olympics were on, and they were watching the US Men's Curling team. Mark and Lexie started looking up the rules to the game and made the decision that they were going to do whatever it took to make the South African (Mark’s homeland) Coed team (they knew they had a much higher chance of that than the US team). After that, the rest was history. Lexie knew that Mark was her person. They spent a LOT of time together in the next couple of months until they made it "official."

Mark and Lexie took their first big adventure together about a year and a half into dating. They traveled to 22 different countries across Europe for 50 days! It was a trip of a lifetime. They met so many amazing people and made some lifelong friends. Two very special girls to Mark and Lexie are Danica and Louise, who are also from South Africa. More to come about them later. After spending almost two months in a tent together Mark and Lexie’s relationship was taken to a new level.

Mark and Lexie have been together for over 6 years and have made some very wonderful memories. They've owned a home in Aurora for 3 years and Lexie finally pulled the trigger and got herself the Corgi she has wanted since she was 6 years old. His name is Martin and he is a total daddy's boy of course.

Mark took Lexie to South Africa this summer to meet his extended family and to visit some of the places his family spent time in as a young child. Little did she know she would have a fiancé by the end of the trip. They traveled across the country and many amazing sites were seen. They were reunited with Danica and Louise after 5 years, when they met at a wine farm outside of their hometown, Durbanville. This is where Mark proposed to Lexie with their help. It is a memory for the books! Mark and Lexie are excited to start the next chapter of their lives together, taking more trips of a lifetime and making more memories for the books.
