There a 15+ different breweries in Missoula with various events at each during the week (trivia, bingo etc.), so you can't go wrong with any of them!
We are planning a trip on Thursday afternoon 7/17 @ 3:00 pm with anyone in town! Text Lexie 805-807-8944 for more info. We will be getting in the river around 3:20 at Sha-Ron river access.
This is one of Hunter and Lexies favorite summer activities! There are countless tube rental and shuttle options for those coming from out of state, but its also super easy to organize rides if you have access to 2 cars. Enjoy a nice 2-3 hour float down the beautiful Clark Fork River, running through the heart of Missoula. You can hop out right in the middle of downtown. Best enjoyed with a cold one!
Caras Park truly sits in the center of it all, with the Clark Fork River to one side and downtown Missoula to the other.
Every Thursday night from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm the city hosts "Downtown Tonight", where all the local food trucks and vendors gather by the big tent. Live music too!
To find more events in Caras Park, see Destination Missoula's events calendar.
A local favorite, with 11 switchbacks, 620 feet above the valley floor in less than half a mile, the M gives you a bird's-eye view of the entire Missoula valley and surrounding mountains. The trailhead is located on the University of Montana campus. It is 3/4 of a mile to the "M". See other great Missoula hikes here.
This is a great outdoor venue to see a concert under the Montana sky! Check the website often for the scheduled events. There may be one worth coming early for or staying after the wedding for!
These things may be more of a day trip (or more) and are further out of town, but are definitely worth it if you have the time and resources!
- Hike to Jerry Johnson Hot Springs
- Hike to see the view at Blodgett (also can be turned into a day trip to the town Hamilton, MT)
- Visit Glacier National Park near Whitefish, MT
- Raft the Alberton Gorge
