Kevin and Lexis met during the fall of 2019 at Southeastern University, where they both were beginning their masters degree in ministry. Lexis was suspicious of this new guy who was drawing a lot of attention. A friend of hers asked one day if she was interested in the new graduate assistant , and Lexis boldly answered, "No."

Fast forward one year later, Kevin and Lexis were in class together and Kevin cracked a friendly joke. Her response was not to Kevin's liking and he made up in his mind they were not going to be friends. Thankfully, the two eventually became friends later that year. Throughout their friendship Kevin began to see Lexis in a new light. Her heart and rap skills opened his eyes to a romantic relationship with her. So with the help of some of his friends, Kevin got Lexis alone and asked, "So when are you going to let me take you on a date." Lexis was shocked and immediately started laughing to lighten the mood.

After a month of waiting and a few more conversations on Kevins part, Lexis finally agreed to a date. During this time the Lord began to soften her heart and she too began to see Kevin in a new light. The only problem was, Kevin was moving to Connecticut in a few short weeks. This move did not deter Kevin and Lexis from speaking to each other every single day. Kevin flew back to Florida a couple of months later and asked Lexis to be his girlfriend on February 16th 2021.

The following year will be filled with daily Facetime calls, lots of traveling, and smiling from ear to ear. Their love for each other led to a strong desire to choose the other forever and the two were engaged on February 18th 2022. Now wedding planning has commenced and the couple is so excited to have you join in on their celebration!
