Our story began the night of September 25th, 2016... yes it took him 6 years to propose lol.

At the time Matty was a sophomore attending Robert Morris University and playing basketball. Lexus was a freshman also attending Robert Morris University and playing soccer. We met each other at a RMU football party and some may say love at first sight. Lexus gave Matty her number in hopes of him reaching out the next day but to her surprise, she didn't receive a text the next day.

Sitting in the university cafe the next day, Lexus and one of her bridesmaids, Lexy, saw Matty walk in and freaked out saying "OMG THAT IS THE GUY FROM LAST NIGHT". Lexus decided to take matters into her own hands and DM'ed Matty on Instagram:

Lexus- "damn really thought you were gonna text me after the party 😕"

Matty- "lol I was going to but I was hella busy the next day!"

Lexus- "yeah yeah"

Matty- "I got your number I'll text you now!"

And the rest is history!

After graduation, we had been living together for a couple of years and decided to expand our little family with two fur babies, Nova and Nina. They are our pride and joy and have been major contributors to making our relationship so strong.

We got engaged on August 6th, 2022. The most special and perfect day of our lives so far.

Matty planned a beautiful surprise proposal at The Point in downtown Pittsburgh. If you know Matty you know that he can't keep a secret so keeping this from Lexus was very difficult for him. With the help of some of Lexus' best friends, they were able to get Lexus to the proposal spot despite her having any clue as to what was occurring that day. When Lexus arrived at the Point with her friends she thought someone else was getting engaged but to her surprise, she say Matty standing there with the biggest smile on his face. If you know Lexus you know she gets very emotional so the tears started flowing. Matty got on one knee and asked Lexus to marry him. Of course she said YES!

Matty then surprised Lexus with an intimate engagement party that night. We got the opportunity to celebrate our love with close family and friends. Then the wedding planning began!
