It's impossible to tell the story of us without mentioning our best friends, Tyson & Emily Bonham, as the matchmakers of the century. The picture above was taken on Phil's 22nd birthday just around a month after we first met in November of 2021 at Barry's Bar in Lincoln. Phil likes to say that he only went out on that brisk November evening due to promises from Tyson that Emily would be bringing me along (I'm still not sure if I believe that part of this story).

Fast forward to February of 2022 - we're inseparable. While it did take him two attempts to get a "yes" for me to be his girlfriend, he finally made it happen on February 7th, 2022.

Five short months later, we packed our boxes and moved into our two bedroom apartment that we still call home in northwest Lincoln (I told you it would work out, Dad). Since moving in together, we've brought on two additions to the family, our cats, Vinny & Binx. Those two boys keep our hands full and our hearts even fuller.

What the future holds is an adventure we look forward to exploring together .. as the Pickards :)
