So I am sure you are wondering how an Iowan turned North Carolinian and a life long North Carolinian met...

Well, in true 2024 fashion, Kyle and Lexy met online and, before they knew it, fell head over heels for each other. Lexy even skipped a birthday dinner for a family friend (sorry John, but it was totally worth it!) to go on a date with Kyle. Of course, as life does, the first restaurant they tried had a long wait, and the second one had a shorter wait—though still a wait! But that gave them the perfect time to chat, and they instantly hit it off. They bonded over their love of all things Marvel and shared family stories.

Before they knew it, they were scheduling date after date. They quickly met each other's families, and Kyle learned how much Kara (Lexy’s sister) loves playing games. He sat through Quacks of Quedlinburg like a champ and was a great sport about it. Soon, they were heading to Virginia to celebrate the birth of one of Kyle’s two nieces (Shout out to Ophelia). There, they became the butt of every joke while playing Jackbox with Daniel, Bre, Nathan, and Olivia.

The rest of the story? It’s filled with Kyle trying to introduce Lexy to video games beyond Mario Kart and Smash Bros, their Sunday DnD sessions with great friends, the arrival of another niece (HI LAINEY!), a nephew (WASUP BREW!), and tons of family time together since.
