We met through Mike’s sister, Lucy—who also happens to be one of Lexy’s best friends and former college softball teammates. Over time, Lexy got to know the Garrett family, and the two of us found ourselves at the same gatherings now and then. But it wasn’t until Lexy sent a spontaneous (and bold!) text asking Mike if he’d ever want to go out sometime and thats when things really took off. We met up with friends that night… and have been inseparable ever since.

From the beginning, it just clicked. Whether we’re heading out for a date night, binge-watching a new show, spending time with friends, or walking our two pups (Benny and Rocky) we genuinely love doing life together. We laugh a lot, we cheer each other on, we find comfort in each other and make even the most ordinary days feel special.

The proposal was a total surprise. During a weekend trip to Chicago, Mike pulled it off perfectly- every detail, every moment- completely catching Lexy off guard in the most beautiful way.

Now we’re counting down the days until we say “I do” and start the next chapter of our lives- surrounded by all the people who mean the world to us.
