Amanda and Liam’s journey began at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, where they met through mutual friends. They quickly discovered an unexpected connection — they both grew up nearby in an Illinois suburb. The convenience of living on campus together made it easy for their relationship to grow. They enjoyed exploring the city of Milwaukee together, whether it was strolling along Lake Michigan or enjoying the local Milwaukee restaurants. After graduation, life took them in different directions — Liam returned to New York to pursue his construction career, while Amanda remained in Illinois, focusing on her grad school search. Despite the distance, their bond grew stronger through numerous facetime calls and visits to the east coast. When Amanda was accepted into a grad program in New York, it marked the beginning of a new chapter — moving in together and exploring a whole new state. On February 26, 2023, surrounded by love and excitement, Liam asked Amanda the question that would forever change their lives — and she said yes.
