How do I get to The Cornerstone?
The Cornerstone is located minutes outside of Edmonton and the Edmonton International Airport!
Take the Queen Elizabeth II (Calgary Trail SW) exit off the Anthony Henday southbound and travel for approximately 4 km before turning west onto 41 Avenue SW. Take your first left onto 127 Street SW, which will be in approximately 1.7 km. Travel for 1 km, and The Cornerstone will be to your left. Signs for parking will be posted.
What is the easiest way to get there?
The easiest way to get to The Cornerstone would be to drive! Ubers and Taxis are also an option for out-of-town guests!
Where can I park?
Parking is available just off the venue property. If you are coming south from 41 Avenue, parking will be just north of the venue. Signs for parking will be posted.
What should I wear?
Because this wedding will be outdoors for most of the day, we want you to feel comfortable in your attire! Ladies can wear a long cocktail dress or any knee-length summery dress, and gentlemen can opt for a basic dress shirt with dress pants.
What if I arrive late?
We understand that things may come up unexpectedly! If you arrive right when the ceremony begins, we ask that you wait at your vehicle/off the venue property for five to ten minutes before coming to join other guests in the seating area.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We want you to be able to enjoy the food, so you will have the opportunity to let the bride and groom know your dietary restrictions when you RSVP!
Am I allowed to take photos?
Feel free to take photos as you please once you arrive! The Ceremony will not start until 2:00pm, so you can mingle and take photos before then. Once the ceremony begins, the officiant will set aside a short span of time for everyone to take photos. Please use this time to take the photos of the ceremony, as we will request that cameras and phones be put away for the remainder of the ceremony.
Can I post any wedding photos on social media?
Feel free to post any photos you take of the venue and yourselves; however, please refrain from posting any photos of the bride and groom for at least two weeks or until they post photos themselves.
What will there be to do after the ceremony?
After the ceremony the bride and groom and spend time taking photos with family and friends. During this time there will be yard games to play, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Cocktail hour will commence one hour before the reception begins. Alcoholic beverages will be available at this time.
Can I leave after the ceremony and come back for the reception?
We understand that guests may not want to spend too much time outside in formal clothing during this time of year, so guests are free to leave after the ceremony and return for the reception. We recommend returning at least half an hour before the reception begins.
Will I have to pay for alcoholic drinks?
We will have a ticket bar. Every guest of legal drinking age will be given one ticket at the beginning of the dinner. If guests would like to purchase additional tickets, they will cost $2 each. There will be a designated ticket person who will be announced at the beginning of the reception. We ask that you please finish your drink before getting a new one. Please also drink responsibly and don’t drive if you plan on drinking!
How long do I have to stay after dinner?
We would love to continue celebrating with you, but understand if you need to head home for other obligations. Last call will be around midnight (this may change, and will be announced day-of), and we anticipate celebrating until then!
