What is the food situation?
We have booked three local food vendors/trucks to feed you lovely people. There will be options available for our gluten free, meat free, dairy free, and restriction free guests.
What is the drink situation?
Beer, wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options. Due to venue restrictions these are the only things we can serve. But given it is the most important part of any wedding, this was pretty much the only thing planned ahead.
Will I have to pay for my own food and drinks?
NO! And whoever has been slandering us with these baseless rumors will be summarily punished. But please do consider bringing some cash to tip our lovely support staff.
Is there parking?
There is ample parking but if you do decide to drive, in the wise words of Sabrina Carpenter, "Please, Please, Please [don't drink and drive]".
How far is it from the hotel?
It is a 0.6 mile walk from the hotel to the venue along the riverwalk and it is a very nice and pretty walk even with the bridge construction happening on Arlington.
What is the venue like?
The Mckinley Arts Center is a local park containing the grounds of the old Mckinley Park School. This historic building is bright orange and was built in 1909. It contains art spaces, offices, and an auditorium where Libby used to play violin in the local youth symphony (she will luckily not be inflicting her violin skills on our lovely guests). There is a large park area in front of the school that is brimming with old growth trees and a large grassy area. The majority of the reception will take place on this lawn, assuming Reno does not surprise us with one of her summer snowstorms. There will be some tables available along with lawn games and music for a fun garden party. Because of the beautiful old growth trees, the grass can be bumpy so please choose shoes commensurate with your ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
What time should I arrive?
Please show up a minimum of 15 minutes before the ceremony (aka 3:45) so we can make sure everyone is settled before the ceremony begins.
Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?
Yep! We like to keep it easy.
Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?
Fingers crossed outdoor (See What is the Venue Like).
What if I'm bad at musical chairs?
Well then you're in luck, you qualify for a chair. We will not have enough chairs for all our guests during the ceremony so we do ask that you give seats to those who need them. We promise it will be short.
What is the dress code?
The million dollar question. We're going to call it sporty casual. Think polos and khakis for guys and cute summer dresses for girls. Really this whole wedding was inspired by the song 26 by Caamp so if your outfit is giving that vibe you are good. (See Dress Code Inspo page for more information)
Can I bring a plus-one?
Yes but please let us know if you plan on bringing someone we did not initially include in the invite.
Are children invited?
Yep! We invited all of our friends so they will be in good company.
What is the RSVP deadline?
A two-week notice would be nice but that does require us to get that set up before then so good luck.
How do I RSVP?
In an ideal world where this was set up, you would RSVP on this website. Until then just keep complaining to our parents.
What about gifts?
We have created a cash fund on this site for any gifts but please we also love thoughtful gifts. Gifts are completely voluntary and by no means needed.
Are there hotel blocks?
Yes! There is a block of rooms at the Plaza Resort Club Hotel for $136 per night. When you book, use the code Billingsley.
What airports are nearby?
RNO. It is tiny and perfect. You will be filled with rage when being picked up though.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We request you do not take pictures during the ceremony. Libby hates the sound of her voice and does not trust all of you not to record it.
Will the event be accessible?
Yes it is and we will have seating inside and outside the venue.
What is the weather like that time of year?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ hopefully warm but it snowed last year
Who do I contact with questions?
Greg, Libby, parents, siblings. If you have questions please ask whoever you feel most comfortable asking and it will get to Libby and Greg and may even get an appearance on this page. (I would include an email but I already get enough spam from the internet bots and would not check a new email)
Are pets involved?
Sadly our dog can be a meanie and our cat would steal the show so they will not be celebrating with us.
Is there an after-party?
We will have the reception party at the venue. There may be a journey downtown after but we will see where the day takes us.
Can I post on social media?
Sure! Neither Greg nor Libby are active on their accounts so they will not respond or repost but feel free to post.
Will you have my favorite wedding tradition?
Unless it is eating, drinking, and dancing, you can assume no. We are doing no speeches, tosses, or first dances. For all those fun bits I have some great rom coms for you instead.
Who is your amazing DJ?
Drew Dapps all the way from San Diego will be serving some tunes ranging from house to indie pop.
