Jordan and I met in November of 2020...actually on a dating app! I know, *cringe. A few friends of mine had made me an account, and I didn't think much of it. Before we knew it, Jordan found me, and the rest is history.

Still with few people knowing about Jordan because there was “nothing to tell yet”, we met in person in December and quickly hit it off. Funny story is that when we met in the REI parking lot to meet up, we were wearing matching outfits. We weren’t sure if we play it cool, or point it out. If you were wondering, we pointed it out and then preceded to laugh about it for the rest of our day.

We spent the following days getting to know each other more, and honestly had loads of fun.

We started dating January 16th, 2021 knowing we would spend most of our relationship apart. Although it has had its challenges, it has brought good things. It has really encouraged us to communicate with each other. It also made anticipation grow in our hearts for the next time we would see each other again, whether that be for a few hours or a couple days.

At the beginning of September, Jordan surprised me in Homer and proposed on a backpacking trip!

We have done a lot of adventure together! Whether that be fly fishing on as many rivers as we can, doing the Alcan from AK to MT, X country skiing in below 0, discovering rock climbing and loving it, vacationing to Florida, showing him my home and playground (Kachemak Bay), or simply just experiencing the joys of life, we often say yes!
