Dating in the 21st century is a challenge, especially when you’re a hard-working 30-something in the city. Libby and Bill, like many singles, trudged through the trials of the dating app world. It seemed like a necessary evil if you ever hoped to meet someone. In early January 2019, Bill had become disillusioned with the dating game and vowed one evening to delete all of his dating apps the next morning. When the morning came and it was time to delete Bumble, the final app he had fatefully left on his phone, he was presented with the picture of a beautiful young woman smiling brightly with a large ice cream cone: Libby. She had "swiped right" on Bill, matching them. Bill went through his work day constantly checking his phone in the hopes that a conversation would start between them. It did and it very quickly led to a first date at Pinewood Social in Nashville. A first date that will forever be remembered as the 6-hour date. After that, the rest was history. They had found each other… finally. It can take time to grow into the person you are supposed to be in order to find the person you are meant to be with. There is heartache and plenty of tears along the way, but if you keep your chin up, learn your lessons, and work on yourself, you will grow. And when the universe grants you the opportunity to meet your person, you know it, and you’re ready, and you’re forever grateful. Libby and Bill went through their trials and did their work and in the end, they finally found each other.
