We met in Grapevine for our first date on October 26, 2019, after matching on Hinge! I was a few minutes late (per usual), but Nick was gracious about it (per usual). We sat and talked for hours, and we both say we knew by the end of the night that this could be it. On our third or fourth date, we had pizza and deleted our dating apps.

Fast forward to 2020: the pandemic hit and the world changed, but in the midst of all that- we fell in love with each other! On December 12, 2020, Nick took me back to Grapevine to celebrate his birthday. We were walking up to Messina Hof, where we were going to spend our Saturday- just the two of us...but Nick had other plans! He had his boss' wife, Julie, planted outside of Messina Hof (he knew I would not recognize her because we had never met!), and he asked this "random lady" to take our picture in front of the Christmas decorations. The next thing I knew, Nick was down on one knee proposing! Julie got it all on video and graciously took a million pictures to capture the moment. We both called our parents to tell them the news, and then Nick told me that we had a reservation to get to. When we walked in, our very best friends were there waiting! Nick had arranged a surprise celebration, and our friends came in from near and far. It was the absolute best day. We can't wait to celebrate our wedding with our close friends and family in October!
