This journey began on December 26, 2014 when Greg asked Lidia out on a date, and she replied, "ask me when you're sober"...so the next day, he did. We met through mutual friends at a small get together. After hitting it off, we started to see each other and made our relationship official on March 15, 2015.

We dated through our last couple of years at college, and although we went to different schools, we made every effort to see each other on the weekends. After graduating in May 2016, we pursued the next chapters in our lives.

Greg served in the United States Army and Lidia began working full time. Although the next 6 years seemed like an eternity, we were committed to making our long distance relationship work.

In March 2022, Lidia flew to Fort Bragg, NC and helped Greg pack up for their 8 hour car ride to come back home.

The next few months were spent making up for lost time and taking the next step in our relationship. We closed on our first home together in October 2022 and were so excited to move forward.

We celebrated new milestones in our careers. We also welcomed a new furry member to our family when we adopted Tyson from an animal rescue. Little did he know, that he was about to be part of a very special day in our future.

July 22, 2023 was the day Greg tried to ask Lidia to spend the rest of their lives together. He just couldn’t finish his sentence in time before she said “yes” repeatedly.

Now, here we are today, planning our vows to each other and looking forward to the best day of our lives, August 23, 2024.
