Our Wedding

Oh-Da-Babay and Lightning Liam found each other out of fate and the amazing NHS foster team. Oh-Da-Babay was a stray, who did not have anyone to care for her or look after her medical needs. She ended up at the shelter in the beginning of January. After a couple medical procedures she was moved into foster care to recover and wait for another surgery.	This is where she found love with Lightning Liam. He was rescued from a hoarding situation in which he was covered in matts and barbed wire pieces. The NHS team helped to clean him up and fix up his coat, and then he went to foster care to put on some weight as he was very underweight.	The two of them found comfort in having each other around, leaning on each other for support. They became inseparable and finally after a month of spending time together Lightning Liam proposed. Oh-Da-Babay gladly accepted and now they will be celebrating this happy occasion with friends and their foster family.

Our Story

Dillard's and Carson City florist helped this magical day happen! Dillard's donated supplies for the happy couple so that their wedding could be perfectly styled. And what would a wedding be without beautiful floral arrangements? Carson City Florist generously provided all of the flowers for this wedding, so that the couple can walk down a gorgeous aisle.

This guy is ready for the wedding day! Did you say cake? I can't wait! I am definitely ready to support my friend Lightning Liam, and to be selfish, have my eyes out for an adopter for myself. Being in Reno for quite some time I am ready to get out of the shelter. I am a bit slow to open up, but who isn't these days? I do best with older kiddos, and would love to join you on your next long hike.

I am sweet, charming, and love to be the star of the show! .... BUT I guess I can give up my spotlight for one day, for Oh-Da-Babay. I can't wait to see her dress! I am looking for a family of my own that will allow me all the attention so maybe I will meet some potentials from the big day. Like I said though, I do best when I am a one woman show, so just me and the people are what I am looing for. Hope I will be able to make the travel from Reno to Carson for the big day.

I am currently living life in my amazing foster home, and seeking another foster. I have been with the Carson City shelter since November. I am Diabetic (but that doesn't keep me down!). I am looking for a home with adults and no other animals, as dogs kind of make me nervous. I look forward to supporting the couple in this happy day. I plan to "zoom in" to the wedding as these enviornments can cause me stress but can't wait to watch them walk down the aisle! To adopt Kya visit:

I am a bit of a shy girl from the Reno Shelter. I came from a very hard situation, so I am a little slow to warm up to people. I've spent more time than most waiting at the shelter, because I am looking for the purfect fit. I can't wait to celebrate this day full of love, because to be honest I need a little extra love myself. I am social with other cats so I am ready to mingle!
