Austin and Lil started dating on September 26th, 2020.

How did they meet? Wasn't there a pandemic? Hinge!

One day Lil was looking online and noticed that she and Austin were labeled "The Most Compatible". The weird part, Austin was 74 miles away from Lil up in Waite Park. They're still not sure how Hinge brought them together considering they were so far away.

However, Lil took the chance and "liked" Austin on Hinge. Obviously, it went pretty well!

Austin and Lil did "medium" distance for about a year and a half. Medium meaning they were close enough to see each other regularly but they had to do some pre-planning!

Lil would drive to Waite Park/St. Cloud and Austin would drive to Eden Prairie. Although it wasn't ideal, they made it work!

Around November of 2021, Austin decided to move a bit closer to Lil!

Was Austin still 20 minutes away? Yes!

Was it better than an hour drive they were originally dealing with? Yes!

Okay, probably the best part of this story, the proposal!!

Lil was being probably the most impatient person ever once 2024 came around. However, she is very glad Austin took the time and developed a good plan.

On May 5th, 2024, Austin proposed! Austin worked so hard to make it right. He made sure Lil had an excuse to look nice, be in the right spot, and have the perfect set of nails.

Chenoa and Lil had planned to go to Chanhassen Dinner Theater. However, Chenoa only had tickets to the show and wanted to try a resturant in North Loop. Lil was super confused why they would drive to Minneapolis and then to Chanhassen but, she went along with it!

As they paid for the bill, the server handed the girls a QR code. Lil scanned the QR code and followed a map to find Austin waiting for her at a bridge near the Mississippi Walking Trail. Austin brought Cash, their dog, to share in the moment. Austin asked Lil the question she had been waiting for and she said yes!
