Jon and Michael are brothers; despite Michael beating up Jon until Michael graduated high school, the two became more than brothers and are now inseparable best friends. Michael has always been a role model for Jon in many areas of life, especially for Jon's growth in his faith. Jon and Michael bond over Michael losing to Jon  in virtually any competition, laughing at tweets together, and  discussing life!

Lili met Serena the second week of college and from there they became great sisters in Christ. This past year they have had the time of their lives living together in the same house as roommates. Jon became close friends with her as well through Lili and Serena's boyfriend, Sam (Jon's groomsmen).

Jon and Austin became very close friends towards the end of Jon's freshman year. They often joke how similar they are; injury prone, thiccc, from a farm, blonde, blind, etc. Most importantly, Austin's family farm uses John Deere which is one of the most important shared qualities between Austin and Jon. Jon and Austin also grow insane goatees, as seen in the picture above!

Lili and Christina became close at the end of Lili's freshman year. You will hear us call her "Tina T," which is a title only very few are allowed to call her. While Tina was completing her undergrad, there were not many moments that Christina, Carly and Lili were not together. Last March, Christina was so generous and even let Lili move in with her when she got kicked out of the dorms because of COVID!

Jon and Seth became very close friends, even forming a bromance, towards the end of Jon's freshman year. Jon and Seth bond over having a love/hate relationship with the Vikings, playing basketball, buying jerseys, and playing Madden.  Jon was lucky enough to stand on the altar on Seth's wedding day this past summer!

Carly is one of the first people Lili met at SDSU. She was Lili's Bible study leader and discipler. Having Carly (and Seth) were a huge part of why Lili started to spend more and more time at the Newman Center. She is great at card games and strategic games so do NOT let her innocence fool you.

Jon and Sam became close friends at the beginning of Jon's sophomore year. Jon and Sam entered discipleship together through FOCUS and push each other to become stronger in living out the Catholic faith. Jon and Sam are now roommates, where they clap noobs at Halo and love taking selfies on Serena's phone, as pictured above.

Shannon and Jon were good friends their freshman year before she transferred to Northern for a semester (and then transferred back to SDSU). She is an absolute baller which makes sense that 6 a.m. basketball is where Lili and Shannon met. Both Jon and Lili love playing cards, going to sporting events, and watching football games with Shannon.

Jon and Thomas became best friends soon after Thomas transferred to BOLD Schools during 7th grade. Jon and Thomas (along with Andrew and Mason) hung out nearly every single weekend during high school naming themselves the Big Four. Jon and Thomas love to talk and play sports, argue about whether Michael Jordan or Lebron James is the GOAT, and game!

Katie is Jon's older sister; Katie is an incredible surgical nurse at Sanford in Sioux Falls. Jon and Katie love to goof off with each other, laugh at funny tweets and videos, and travel together (the picture above is from Denver!). Jon and Katie are also undefeated Pictionary teammates and will challenge anyone!

Jon and Andrew, better known as Lipz (Lipshaker, Lipinator, Lipzy Tipzy, or Doctor), have been best friends since Kindergarten. The two have been inseparable since that day and will always be best friends. The two goofed off throughout 13 years of school and love talking about life, sports, and video games!

Amanda and Lili met right away freshman year through Serena. They spent a lot of time hanging out as little freshies that led to them being roommates this year. She is very quiet, but has the loveliest laugh. Don't mess with this tough cookie, her ranching and country roots are strong.

Jonathan, or Big J, is Jon's cousin. Big J has been very involved in Jon's life since Jon has been born and is even Jon's Godfather. Big J has always been a brother-from-anotha-motha and Jon could not appreciate Big J enough for all his support over the years. Jon has always looked up to Big J and has always known Big J needed to be on the altar next to Jon on his wedding day!

Ellie is Jon's sister in law and soon to be Lili's as well. Ellie is a testament for Lili that the Schulte's are not crazy enough not to marry into.

Things to Do

Currently, we are going forward with a full wedding as planned. We are so extremely loved by many people and would love to celebrate with everyone. Unfortunately, due to the church and the community center's restrictions for COVID-19, we have had to limit our guest list to fit in the allowed amount. We want all of our guests to be comfortable and to decide for themselves what they exactly want to do. Whether you join us from home, wear a mask, or celebrate freely, we want all guests to feel comfortable with their decision. If any plans change after you RSVP, the website is set up so that you are able to change it at anytime. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out and ask.

COVID-19 Updates 

March 6th 

On March 6th there will be a Bridal Shower for Lili in her hometown at Sacred Heart Church. This is being put on by Carol Osowski and Tami Altendorf, who Lili has definitely referred to as her second mothers many times.

March 27th

On March 27th, Lili's soon to be Mother in Law and family will be putting on a bridal shower at the Schulte home. An in-person shower will take place on Saturday, March 27 from 10 a.m. - noon in Bird Island.A virtual shower will be held prior to the live shower; guests can "pop in" to speak to Lili personally from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. via Facebook Live.
