Our Story

Moa and I met in college at NPU and lived together our senior year. The year was full of so many fun memories, with tea times, laughter and so much joy. I can't wait to have her with me through this whole process!!

Moa currently lives in Malmo Sweden and just got a new job in the accounting world! 


Moa Svendsen

Matt and Jack met when they were tasked with taking care of algae while studying biology together at NPU. They became fast friends after lighting more than one lab bench on fire and accidentally making chloroform in the research lab. 

Matthew is currently in Dental School at West Virginia University. 

Matthew Skarzynski

Ellen and I have been friends our whole lives, and we dreamed about our weddings together when we were little kids, I can't imagine this day without her. 

Ellen just recently graduated with her Social Work Masters in Michigan!

Luke is Lily's older brother (middle child), Luke and Jack have bonded over their love and respect of Lily, and good whiskey. Luke is currently working as a Technical Marketing Engineer in Illinois. 

Luke Dahlberg

Jack and Lily met Liz through Georgia tech! She has been a wonderful friend since we moved down here, she has joined in for tea party's trivia nights, sleepovers and any other fun event that we have planned in the last couple of years. Liz is also working towards her PHD at Georgia Tech! 

Liz Marquez-Gomez

Lars is Lily's oldest brother, Lars and Jack have bonded over their love of fantasy and  Sci-Fi. When together, they near constantly discuss the lore and deeper implications of the books, shows, and games they love. Lars is currently working as a warehouse manager in Illinois. 

Lars Dahlberg

Riley and I met back in high school, through our love of theatre our friendship bloomed! Riley and I spent countless hours, directing and giggling. Riley and I stayed close the years after high school and I couldn't imagine her not being apart of this day! Riley is now working in Marketing in Vermont!!! 

Riley Schroeder

AJ is one of Jack's oldest friends. Jack and AJ met online over 10 years ago after meeting in a 12 hour, 2 day spanning ordeal of a destiny raid. Since then, AJ and Jack have continued playing multiple games together, and have fostered a whole online community who they regularly hang out with.
AJ is currently an electrician in Nova Scotia. 

AJ Marknette

Kellie is Jack's oldest sister, I can't wait for her to officially become my sister as I only have brothers. I'm so excited for her to be apart of this day!!! Kellie is currently working as a Mental Health Trauma Therapist in Alabama! 

Kellie Murphy

Cameron and Jack met when Kellie and Cameron first started dating, back in 2011. Cameron was the closest thing Jack ever had to an older brother growing up, before officially becoming his when he married Kellie. Cameron works as a an Engineer in Alabama!

Molly is Jack's older sister (middle child) and I am so excited to have her be apart of this day with us!! I cant wait for Molly to officially become my sister in law and am happy for her support on this day! Molly is currently working as a Special ED teacher, in Illinois!!

Molly Walsh

Sean is Molly's fiancé. Soon to be part of the now ever growing family, we are more than happy he is able to be a part of our wedding! Jack and Sean both enjoy PC building and gaming as hobbies!  Sean is currently a Sr. UX Strategist in Illinois 

Sean Moran

Adam is my oldest cousin on my dad's side of the family. 
I have known for a while that I wanted  Adam to be the one to marry us. Then when we chose the same venue that he,  and his wife Paige got married at in 2016. I really knew I wanted him to Marry us. In the Dahlberg Family,  the tradition was Our Grandpa Ray, who was a pastor, married everyone. This was something that was super important for me to continue on and I couldn’t think of anyone better to support us on this special day.

This Hotel is 16 mins from the venue, its a small little hotel on the cheaper side. This is about 164 dollars per night. It looks like its just a hotel, good for sleeping but not really hanging out.(Price updated 7/16/25)

Quality Inn & Suites

This Lodge is about 13 mins away from the venue, its a little more expense at about 350ish per night. Kind of the vibe of a bed and breakfast, looks like a fun place to try something new!(Two night minimum) (price updated 7/16/25)

Lily Creek Lodge

I stayed here for a work trip in February and its a fun kooky little cabin in the woods type of place. The prices vary significantly based on what extras you want lol.It's silly and about 30 mins from the venue but it could be a fun place to stay if you are looking for more of a cabin in the woods type of thing!(two night minimum)

Forrest Hills Resort

Limited rooms left, in downtown Dahlonega, basically in the downtown square, still about 15 mins from the venue but walkable to downtown. Cute, might be a bit fancy, around 350 per night. (price updated 7/16/25)

This one is kinda on the way to the venue from the airport. This is about 240 a night (price updated 8/2/2025)This is about 20 mins to the venue but its a little closer to the airport.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dawsonville by IHG

Very Very limited rooms left available, but this is in the square in downtown Dahlonega. About 250 per night, bed and breakfast vibes, kooky and cute.(price updated 7/18/25)

Hall House Hotel

This is 8 mins from the venue, just a hotel, close to the downtown square, but not as walkable as some of the other options. This is also has limited availability remaining. About 170 per night. (price updated 7/18/25)

Comfort Inn & Suites Dahlonega University Area

We also recommend looking into Airbnb. Our venue is sort of in the middle of no where and the North GA mountains have some really cool Airbnb's. Some can be cheap, some can be expensive, some are close to the venue and some are just really cool. We totally recommend looking into a cool cabin in the woods to get a nice taste of the north GA mountains!

Jack and I seriously love this aquarium, not only is it awesome but its one of the only places you can see a whale shark! Since Jack moved to ATL we have gone maybe like 5 times, we love it, yes its kind of expensive as aquariums usually are but totally worth the trip if you want to see something thats exclusively an ATL activity. This is in midtown close to Georgia Tech, about an hour and half from the wedding venue.

Georgia Aquarium

This is about an hour Northwest of the venue, but it is a fantastic place for a hike! I only went once so far back when Adam and Paige were getting married (at the same venue back in 2016) it was so cool. I would say this is kind of an intermediate hike? Lots of elevation, but I still remember how epic it was.

Tallulah Gorge State Park

This is about 20 mins from the venue! I went here for a work trip in Feb 2025, it was a little outside my comfort zone but it was fun to watch and kept us busy for a while! This track also has like real race cars, so maybe you could watch something like that- no idea but could be a fun place to look into!I have no idea about pricing but it could be a fun adventure!

Atlanta Motorsports Park

In downtown Dahlonega, there is a cute ice cream shop that sells jacks all time favorite ice cream, Blue Moon!!
